  • In all seriousness, if the People’s business isn’t being conducted, how can they possibly be getting paid or getting benefits?

I said it in another post that Emmer may have been a decent compromise for Dems to extend an olive branch. I’m not saying they’re at fault at all, just that he seemed reasonable.

  • he said employees had kept working from home because “they didn’t work as hard, regardless of what they tell you” and also due to the savings they make on their daily commute, lunches and work attire.

It’s almost as if people enjoy having extra disposable income!

  • Went there twice because it’s the nearest, thinking the first poor experience was a fluke. Now I’d rather die on the drive to a better hospital.

To be fair though, this is a pervasive problem with nonprofits. While it wouldn’t help in this case, I recommend researching nonprofits through something like Charity Watch before donating.

  • In response, Trump's defense attorney, Chris Kise said, "Based on my understanding this was truly inadvertent."

"The Truth Social post was taken down when the court asked," Kise said. "Truth Social was taken down and Trump never made any more comments about court staff, but it appears no one took it down on the campaign website. It is unfortunate and I apologize on behalf of my client."

Whoops! My bad. All good here, nothing to see.

  • The unfortunate brilliance of it is that there are master strategists and tacticians that understand how to pass thinly-veiled invasive legislation under some undeniably noble premise.

NYC started with speed cameras and red light cameras only near schools to “protect children.” Who wouldn’t support that? Every single government employee knew this was a long term play: capture metrics showing how much these roadways have improved - then use that to support expansion of the system elsewhere. The same with NYPD cameras and surveillance stations.

Start with something small and digestible to the public, then use it to substantiate the unpalatable.
