This is true, but I encourage people to check out either mull browser or fennec. Both forks of Firefox on Android with privacy enhancements, the ability to use any Firefox store addon (this may be in release now I am not 100% sure) and access to about:config. I've not found stability issues with them either

Yeah I mean I'd definitely prefer not a Kickstarter but as a Patapon fan I'll take what I can get lol. First milestone already reached which is promising, though I am aware of the many Kickstarters that never delivered after being funded

This is a fair question. I was just going to base it off my pst timezone, but not every mod is there. I want to say we're all relatively close timezone wise so I don't think it'll be an issue, but if it is we will discuss further

Personally, I think a gaming meme community is too niche for our instance at the moment. Especially when our general jokes and humor community doesn't see much posting. I would think this type of content could be posted there any day of the week

We'll re-evaluate this in the future. But in the mean time I have implemented a meme Monday rule at !gaming in hopes to lessen the feed being full of memes. Idk if a dedicated gaming meme community would be a good fit for Beehaw, but maybe in the future we will direct future meme posts to the humor community

I hope you can appreciate and understand that the decision was made, in part, because we had users asking for it. I recognize the shortcomings of a megathread. However it won't be possible to make every user here happy. We've taken the actions that we thought were best based on the desires of some of our users.

We appreciate feedback, and are welcoming any suggestions on how this could be handled better

News about the companies that don't involve him are still allowed outside the thread. The idea here is more to contain stuff about the man himself, as it gets spammy and repetitive after a while

Unfortunately tags are not currently a Lemmy feature, so this isn't an option
