  • Not that I know of unfortunately. It's been a while since I've been on iOS so I may be wrong, but I believe all browsers in iOS are actually webkit under the hood (what safari runs on). So any fork of Firefox for iOS would also be just that, quite different from desktop or Android Firefox. I did hear the due to some rule changes Mozilla may be working on a non webkit version of Firefox for iOS but that remains to be seen

  • Yeah I think VR is cool. I don't think it'll take off until they can make a headset that's actually comfortable to wear for a long time though. I've tried a bunch out, and some aren't that bad. But for prolonged periods it's just uncomfortable usually. And it makes me not want to set it up again when I know I'll just get sweaty and irritated after an hour

  • Yeah I totally get what you mean. Have you had a chance to play the VR room game? I really want to check it out but don't currently have a headset

  • Haha I do indeed still have eyes :)

Idk I didn't think it was too bad. I don't remember the screen size ever really being an issue but it's been a while since I played

  • Nice! Yeah I didn't even consider the PC price. I played all these games on my phone and I think I got house of davinci for like 99c on sale, so I think that wasn't a bad price at all haha. I would not be super happy about paying full price yikes.

  • This was a nice read, thanks for sharing.

I am definitely one who typically prefers emulation. The ease of use is just way too nice. Playing things on hardware is always an option for those willing to take the steps necessary to do so.

Another option though that I think worth touching on is hardware emulation, via stuff like the MiSTer project. Reprogrammable boards that allow more accurate hardware emulation of the old consoles is really cool, and helps to be more authentic to the classic experience if that is important to you. You would still need stuff like a crt tv and controllers if you wanted to go all the way. But having 1 board that can be programmed to mimic a bunch of different systems makes it slightly more accessible

  • Ohh nice I played that one. I agree it's not nearly as good as the room in my opinion. Idk why exactly, but it just seemed less polished. Still worth it on discount imo though

  • Ah I see what you mean. Well, no decision has been made yet, and the mods and admins are aware of the split opinion on bots. I hope the decision that is made will be a good one for all, and if it isn't, we'll always listen to feedback and can readjust in the future if needed <3

  • Not disagreeing with what you're saying, but are bots being accepted with open arms now? I didn't think any official announcement had been made on that yet. The discussions are still on-going as far as I am aware

  • Seeing all my friends jump on this has made it quite tempting. But I really need to finish some other stuff first I think. Hope you have fun!!!

  • Part of the reason I wanted to start the weekly "what are you playing" thread on gaming was to try and spawn more discussion not related to news. Although I do think a variety of topics each week is a cool idea I want to look into. I do get what you mean, but, at least on gaming, I have seen some great broad discussion topics be posted.

I can only speak to gaming but I think every community having discussions like that would be neat

  • True haha that did make the whole thing a lot more tolerable

  • I'm allllllmost done with Yumi and the nightmare painter. It's great! I was a little iffy on it at first. It was a little young adulty for my tastes (stereotypical teenage love interest awkwardness). But as per usual with Sanderson the end gets really good really quickly. Eager to see how it ends!

  • Keep up the great work y'all 🫶

  • Yeah. It's not for me, but I see the appeal of having a dedicated device. Battery can be a premium and using it on emulation when you need it for so much more than that can be a tough ask

  • The other mods and I are regular users here as well, so we are just as committed to seeing the community here be an enjoyable place as everyone else :)

  • Yes, it does. It allows you to log into your Firefox account. Ive been doing it and it syncs just like the official app

  • This is true, but I encourage people to check out either mull browser or fennec. Both forks of Firefox on Android with privacy enhancements, the ability to use any Firefox store addon (this may be in release now I am not 100% sure) and access to about:config. I've not found stability issues with them either

I've been using fennec as my main browser for a long while now and it's great

  • Yeah I mean I'd definitely prefer not a Kickstarter but as a Patapon fan I'll take what I can get lol. First milestone already reached which is promising, though I am aware of the many Kickstarters that never delivered after being funded
