  • Respectfully, you are in a gaming forum, and starfield is one of the biggest games that has come out this year.

This comment contributes nothing to the topic the thread is about, besides getting a rise out of people.

Please think about this before commenting in the future. Thank you

  • Yeah. I think I can understand the complaints people have. But dang I'm just so into it. It's hitting all the right notes for me. I absolutely adore everything about it. I wish space stuff was more important. But that's really it for me. I love surveying planets. Going all around and exploring different places. I love the aesthetic. So far for me all the quests have been interesting and cool, and do a great job showing you places you may not otherwise have come across.

  • Every time

    Jump
  • Memes may only be posted on Mondays

  • I would just like to throw my voice out there as a mod on the instance.

I truly love beehaw, and will likely stay if this move happened. Beehaw was an amazing place to find after everything happened with reddit. And I love participating here and really like the community I've found here

All that being said. I would be extremely saddened and disappointed if beehaw decided to leave the fediverse. I am fully aware of how some off instance users can behave. It is definitely a problem, especially in some more vulnerable communities. However I also feel like the ability to federate has brought some life to the platform that would be sorely missed.

I would very much hope a white list would be considered before leaving the fediverse entirely.

Ultimately, I know this is not my project. And I have no decision making powers, but I think lemmy would be a much worse place without beehaw. I hope this decision does not come to pass, personally

  • You def should! It's basically an improvement in every way imo over the first. I've heard some don't like the cutscene art style as much but it doesn't bother me

  • Pretty sure 3 had a credits roll. New Vegas too I think, since those games technically end

  • Yeah I got a dmg from them. I wouldn't necessarily go as far as hot garbage. But I did end up being pretty disappointed with it. Communication was bad. The fan was awful. Constant screen tearing. Lots of issues overall. It was a really neat idea. And I'm sure they can/will improve. But now that I have an analogue pocket, and a steam deck, I feel no need for another one of these. And I can use my pi4 for other things now

  • Game looks so good. Really want to try this out!

  • Tencent is a very prolific investor as has been pointed out. The way this is phrased also comes across a bit xenophobic. Please keep that in mind when commenting further. Thanks

  • This post/ thread has devolved into back and forths and name calling. You can disagree with how a mod on our instance acts, however I have seen no example of a mod acting in any kind of bad way. There was no arguing. She simply shared her view point. She also said she wouldnt do anything to the report against her. I am not sure what more you want. If you ever think we are power tripping, there is a mod log for all to see. I see no use in keeping this thread open for the time being however. Locking this

  • No need for talking like that. Be nice please

  • I believe beehaw admins may have done some tinkering to not get it to show up on beehaw itself. But other instances still see it

  • Def! The shield exists for a reason. We don't need to be on all the time

  • I don't see it as arguing. They're just clarifying their position. And fwiw, we are all users here too. We don't have the ability to not show the 'M' by our name

  • I only use Instagram for a group chat with my highschool friends as they refuse to use anything else lol. It also was a handy tool to stop coming out to people individually and just be like "yep this is the thing now"

Besides that, reddit was all I used, now this is all I use. Discord too I guess if you count that

  • Ofc! I always really enjoyed these back on reddit too. Opencritic makes it pretty easy to export this into a nice format for Lemmy (if you use the reddit option for copying)

  • Nah not really. I just pick up what sounds fun to me mostly. That often is new games but I try and finish ones I have going before picking up a new one
