  • Right to work is very misunderstood online. It's not the freebie everyone seems to think it is.

    If you terminate sometime without documented cause, you can't deny their unemployment claims and must keep paying them in all 50 states.

    The myth that they can fire you with no recourse is something they want everyone to believe so that nobody files for unemployment. when they're entitled to it.

  • Yeah - they're trying REALLY hard to not argue the merits because it's extremely clear to anyone that what they're doing is illegal, so they're trying to make it a civil suit issue.

    The next step after that is to claim Sovereign Immunity to keep civil suits from being heard.

    And then they'll have their legal justification for disappearing US Citizens without due process.

  • This is the case that seems the most clear out of any in the past few years.

    The text of the amendment isn't murky at all.

    "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

    There's no way to interpret that being born in the US doesn't convey citizenship.

  • I hold a weekly project review/coordination meeting via Teams where we discuss all our project statuses, due dates, etc with the relevant team members, make new assignments, etc. And while our new offices are being built I'm exiled to the conference room instead of my desk so that my talking doesn't annoy people who aren't in the meeting.

    Everything is being tracked on a spreadsheet, and I'm sharing my screen while updating everything and I'm having to live-type in front of 20 people and my shitty laptop keyboard.

    It's the worst.
