  • My favorite detail on the 3RL saga was when I took my second bricked unit to the local UPS store and they had a special bin for boxes that perfectly fit the 360 for shipping them back.

  • There's a spectrum of Ace. I got one am a heteroromantic ace, and I'm a dude. So I am attracted to women romantically, but don't want to sleep with them.

It's a very frustrating combination that makes dating difficult.

  • As a kid I would have been fine falling down staris.

Now, overweight and in my 40s I get it. I slipped on porch steps last year and went down 3 steps and I had to go to the ER and was basically bedridden for a week.

  • God they're bad.

But I loved the super-military dino they had trained that would attack someone if you pointed a rifles laser at them.

Like - you're already pointing a gun at them.

  • I'm in Texas, and our electric provider added a $200/month fee for all accounts for the next 2 decades to pay for the 2021 winter storm. They bought electricity from other providers during the storm for like 1000x the standard rate and passed the cost towards future customers.

And the beauty of that is that those fees also impact solar users who aren't even using power, since a certificate of occupancy requires that a house be connected to the grid.

  • A lot of people don't realize how rigged Texas is, or how recent it's redness is.

The Governor prior to Bush was a Democratic woman. Bush got elected off his name, then got the Presidency. In the Republican bump from that the Republicans got a majority in the Texas legislature for the first time since Reconstruction in 2003, which they used to massively gerrymander the state.

Prior to 2004, the majority of Texas reps.to Congress had never been Republican. Following the 2003 redistricting, it was over 2:1 Republican. They've locked down voting districts and attacked voting rights ever since to maintain their majority, while courting out-of-state conservatives to move to Texas and driving progressives away.

The reality is the Republicans got full control of the state government in a single legitimate election in 2002 and have spent the last 2 decades rigging the system to ensure they never lose that power.

  • If the Courts can't enforce rulings against him l, then there isn't even a theoretical check on his executive power. So even if he were impeached he could refuse to leave office, with no courts able to compelling the justice department to drag his ass out of the white house.

  • I have to lean sideways anyway because my shoulders are too broad and the side of the plane is round.

There's so much about flying that sucks as a big person.

My knees are folded up to my chest. I'm leaning to the right to stay off the fuselage. I can't be in an aisle seat because I'm in the way of the crew, and I have to lean forward the whole time because someone is in the seat next to me. And that person hates me.

My dread of the flying experience is why I never go on vacations.

  • I don't love the field, but a competent marketing department has no interest in creating confusing product names. Being easily found in a Google search is like the number 1 thing they care about.

They'd be more likely to rename it something like "Remote Desktop: By Microsoft" or "CoPilot Remote". Something stupid, but recognizable.

  • I had a roommate in college royally fuckup huge batch of very expensive ribs we'd bought for a party because the online recipe called for 2 cloves of garlic abbreviated as "garlic - 2c" and he put in 2 cups of garlic powder.

  • In Texas, government organizations not only can't divest from Israel, but also can't award contracts to anyone who divest from Israel or speaks ill of it.

It's insane. When analyzing bids for janitorial services for City Hall a few weeks back, I was required to vett them for their stance on Israel.

  • If your mental health is in that kind of state, please get rid of the gun. The world is better with you here, and we need each other the fight that's coming.

And if we need guns later, I'm a hobbyist that's been collecting them for years and I've got a TON of them.
