  • A desk cycle. My keyboard is on a low pull-out shelf (more ergonomic) which got in the way of any meaningful cycling while I was trying to work.

The good news is that I eventually did get off my ass and started running for exercise, first on the treadmill at home and now I do it outside. Still have the desk cycle in the basement.

  • That's exactly what he's trying to do. He likes to poke holes at commonly accepted things in an attempt to make people think about stuff that they don't normally think about and make them ask why more often. This is a good thing. Unfortunately, it just comes across as annoying to a lot of people.

  • Well that's a deal-breaker. Guess I'll have to shell out for a real app or pay an architect from the start.

  • You must not have seen my reply in that thread:

My husband and I both have been using Tempur-Pedic office chairs for about 15 years. Starting in 2004, we both worked desk jobs from home (he still does, I only recently shifted careers) and both play video games so we have used the shit out of our chairs, and they are still good. I like that the seat is wide enough so I can fold my legs up under me if I want to.

  • I bought a new '99 Civic Si but when I saw the S2000 I wished I had waited. I loved my Si - it was blue and I named him Moonshadow -- but that S2000 is sweet. Will never forget driving from Vegas to SoCal and being passed by a guy driving an S2000. Or did I pass him? It was so long ago. One of us yelled "nice car!" and the other said "you too!"

  • The boats are useless too. But they seem to have invented some kind of self-replenishing energy source because they just keep on going without having to refuel.

  • That's exciting! Sweethome3D seems to be a favorite. I wish rearranging furniture were as simple as clicking and dragging.

  • That is gorgeous. Congrats on such a beautiful design and solid execution of it. Originally I had thought we would just have a stone back patio but your pics are making me reconsider a deck.

  • I don't think we will have a deck but I would definitely love to see pics.

  • Been playing Dorfromantik so building quaint, idyllic villages with expansive forests and streams.

  • My husband says he used to have "a swimmer's body," smooth and hairless. But he's 55 now so...

He's got hair in his chest, belly, back, and shoulders, and it's spreading.

Every few months, I pluck the hairs out of his ears. It used to be just one or two but now it's a couple long thick ones and a few small curly ones from each ear.

About a month ago, I noticed he's also got a couple of long wild strands growing out of the peak of each eyebrow.

  • I watched the whole thing and meant to come back here with all my questions, then I realized there was a voiceover that explained everything, like why there were "audience chairs" around the hot tub. XD

That's really cool. We often wish we had a little roof deck for stargazing.

  • Have luck on your side. Lucky is what my husband and I both feel a lot of times. We are both pretty cautious when it comes to spending, but we also recognize that we've dodged some financial bullets just by sheer luck.

  • I knew I would get hate even for just trying to help. Not saying it was from you, but clearly from the downvotes I've upset some people. But I felt it was better to throw it out there, in case it does help someone.

I'm sorry the world you're inheriting sucks. It's still better IMO today than in the past, and better in the US than other places. But I'm an immigrant from a developing country, became a citizen 5 years ago, so that definitely colors my perspective.

Thank you again for the suggestion.

  • Thanks, will check it out. Is your deck done?

  • Cool, thanks. Are you also playing with your own dream home ideas then?

  • Thanks so much. I'm not trying to do anything weird, just a small, simple, Craftsman style home.

  • Yours is actually the second suggestion for SetchUp. Thanks!
