  • Unfortunately it was easiest to find on amazon (i just got it at a pet store years ago)

    https://a.co/d/2LPZFyk

    It was something like this

  • That's tough, because street cats that do that have been socialized to be super pro human (strange humans give them snacks?)

I guess if it was me and I was visiting someone allergic, I'd do something silly like put on hand sanitizer and let them sniff my hand. Or hiss at them, if I didn't see people around. Walk loud. Unfortunately, a lot of "i'm scared go away" body language can come across as 'I'm not threatening! Say hi!!" to a friendly cat. What's the specific situation drag is in?

  • Depends what you're teaching them. They're biting? Move away so they know playtime's over if they bite. Be consistent, because they won't get it the first time. Don't scratch that? Put a scratchable surface in front of it, and when they use it, reward them with positive attention. Etc.

  • Had a mouser cat drop a live mouse in my bed once. It ran up my leg. Haunted.

I cured her of the desire to bring me mice by trying to take them from her while she was still playing. I lost mouse privileges :(

  • I remember when we were trying to slow down one cat's eating, we got her a ball that released food as she knocked it around. She would knock it, grab some, and knock it again, leaving tons of food behind. Our second cat would hoover those up. That was unintended two cat play, however.

I think ripple rugs are meant for multiple cats?

  • Playing some coral island, and i'm kind of wanting to start over since they seem to have fixed the two big issues i had.

Apparently they made the progression from the end of B to A less of a drag, and they made it so you're informed when a character cutscene is available (and when and where to go to see it). I hate looking that stuff up on wikis, since inevitably i find out some spoiler that makes the cut scene less interesting.

Plus when I try to stumble on them randomly it'll be year 6 and the character's cutscene is like "i hope you're settling in well!" Dude, I married your friend and have two children now. I almost singlehandedly dredged the oil out of the ocean. What's wrong with you?

    Anyway.

  • At the end of a lengthy two-day hearing in a Texas courtroom, Lopez criticized the auction process as flawed and said the outcome "left a lot of money on the table" for families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

"You got to scratch and claw and get everything you can for them," Lopez said.

    ...

Lopez cited problems — but no wrongdoing — with the auction process. He said he did not want another auction and left it up to the trustee who oversaw the auction to determine the next steps.

So it hasn't been undone, I guess?

  • Civil rights groups work to help the groups they're for. Harming trans people and immigrants is just a distraction for conservatives, but it still causes real world harm, so people are going to do what they can to help. They can do the wrong thing, which is why i was curious about your opinion. what could this specific group do, to more effectively help trans people? Staying under the radar and using their energy elsewhere? The protest getting media attention at least showed trans people that someone's willing to risk it for them. But it's likely there were better ways to help.

Keeping in mind that this group of people is going to be oriented towards helping trans people, what would have been better? Starting a letter campaign about how legislators should get themselves off the toilet and back to work lowering inflation? Do bathroom sit-ins in Odessa, TX, instead? I really don't have any good ideas, but people will want to do something, and I'd rather their energy accomplish something.

  • It at least shows trans people that someone gives a shit about the erosion of their ability to exist in the world without harassment. What would be a more effective response?

  • I don't think there's anything wrong with it. The genres I like keep getting new games, but if most games now were precision platformers or MMORPGs, I'd read more lol.

Just try to hold back the good ol days mentality, try new stuff if it catches your interest, and let yourself enjoy your 10000th replay of your favorites? You aren't against new things entirely, after all. You just don't make yourself play games you don't like. Somewhere out there is an indie developer with similar taste, also frustrated they can't find a game they want to play, and I hope you find them and add a new game to your list.

  • Love the contrast with the pillow

  • Honestly, save the text where he said she's yours, and I think you're good to go.

  • So pretty, in the snow

  • I think that having a choice about what instance you join and whether it's liberal or conserative about defederating is the beauty of federation. someone might want to be on an instance that's quick on the trigger about banning for transphobia, racism, etc, because they're going through some shit in their lives, and later want to experience the greater variety of an instance where banning takes more consideration.

Like, I think you're right about what you want for you, but people wanting different things and being able to get it is pretty great.

  • Probably too new for the sub, but baldur's gate 3 since it was.on sale and my birthday's coming up

  • He looks handsome for an elderly goblin!

  • Oh, useful! I'll have to check her out
