  • Even property damage needs to be calculated. Are you hindering their ability to harm people or are you letting out your anger while risking people who are uncomfortable with the realities of the right and their perception of the left.

The fascists learned to hide their power level, to disavow their terrorism, to practice whataboutism, and to play their roles as reasonable people who have been unfairly attacked.

Mass property damage will get perpetrators killed while alienating those who are tuned out. Add friction for certain when it comes to the ability to do harm. But seriously this is a propaganda war of trying to claim the other side is more radical and worse for the people who just want to grill and we're fucking losing. You will do a lot more good by protesting and humanizing targeted groups and talking to your apolitical uncle about how this isn't what America is supposed to be than you will by burning an empty RNC building.

Should you be training in a militia? Probably. But keep an eye out for agents provocateur and focus on making sure your people are controlled, stable, and would prefer a non-violent resolution. You will do a lot more good handing out food than marching with guns or burning something down.

  • Yeah. Right now there's a fair amount of support for him, disorganization among the opposition, and disaffection after nearly a decade of resistance to him alongside the weakness of the opposition from the dems. Currently what I'm seeing is a fall back to coalition building, propaganda, and other fights to create a popular front from which to oppose.

Left wing violence at this point needs to be sparing and calculated, exclusively where no other option is available to protect people. It's bad optics and prevents us from building a broad opposition. We also need to quit the level of infighting we've been up to and speak to ordinary and disinterested people where they are, because a lot of them basically tune out at the idea of politics unless it's their side (if they have one).

  • Back in my day when you pulled out your phone in a gay space you kept your finger over the camera or you stepped into a corner. Not everyone there was necessarily out back in those days.

Ok but for real, it was definitely the encouraged etiquette but it didnt have enough adherence to be what you did

  • Some polycules are a delightful collection of nice people, some are as dysfunctional as you might expect a bad relationship to get when you keep adding people, others are barely distinguishable from a cult. This seems to be that last kind

  • The US dollar actually is tied to something of value: it's the format the us government will take their taxes in or else they will increasingly use their powers as a monopoly on fhe legitimate use of force until you give them what you owe

Crypto is only worth what others will pay for it. Which is why I don't own it

  • Join us Dvorak weirdos! Your wrists and typing speed may or may not thank you. We have anecdotal evidence!

Fr tho, my wrists stopped hurting when I type when I joined the cult of dvorak

If you want to go off the deep end you can even try the original variant where the number bar is changed too

  • It's also that you're fueling their cultural influence. Cultural influence does a lot of sanitization. Look at how japanophiles often fetishize Japan rather than seeing it as a country with good and bad elements. America was particularly good at this conversion.
