  • Nordstrom will put high end goods near brands that are more affordable. It's like having an expensive bottle of wine on the menu so the customer doesn't feel so bad about paying 50 bucks. If you need to laugh go to a genuine luxury store and the prices are insane. Like $10k for a back pack nuts.

  • Engineers are absolutely the shittest negotiators. They bring so much fucking value and are happy to get a mug and a pat on the back for inventing something that makes a company millions. Compare that to sales where often the top performer can make close to the CEOs pay.

  • It's cheaper to mine lithium in other countries because the labor is cheaper, the labor is cheaper because we live in a country with a more advanced economy, that same economy became more advanced under more stringent regulations. Who gives a shit if they don't mine lithium here when we designed the machines that mine lithium all over the world. There's a reason people are beating down the doors to come here.

  • I'm not going to go all in and blame cars either. The problem is infrastructure. Change will come when enough people riding bikes vote. It's like how smoking bans were a referendum on whether you smoke. Bike infrastructure is a referendum on whether you ride a bike.
