Not to dismiss the points you've made, but I think it's worth remembering that the voting system is biased to give us conservative governments even when most people don't vote for them. Last election they got 44% of the vote but 56% of the MPs

Tbf I'm not sure Robinson is guilty of "treason" either, I just want to say I don't think it should be so far-fetched for people who have a lot of influence to be prosecuted for their actions later if they've crossed a threshold. Tony Blair taking us to war, Rishi Sunak approving more oil extraction etc in the middle of a climate crisis - absolutely I want to see these people prosecuted.

Yes he's a journalist, a journalist of politics. He has held and still holds very senior roles in political reporting, and with it significant influence on the political conversation of this country, much more than the average person. He's not a politician but he is in politics.

Haven't listened but I don't know, Robinson is an awful little wank and people like him in the media have played a big role in legitimising poisonous ideas from climate change to capitalism to war. We're living through a climate crisis, I don't see why very senior people in politics like him shouldn't be threatened with prosecution

If you only ever invest in the southeast, then of course there will be more people and productivity there. That doesn't mean it's a good idea

They should have started building in the north. Starting building in the south now seems like a deliberate move to get extra lines around London under the guise of something that would benefit the whole country

We've over-invested in cars and planes, and under-invested in buses, trains, bicycles and walking. The idea in the article may or may not be a good idea but it seems like redressing this balance is the bigger issue.

I don't really encounter much chat about that stuff on mastodon, maybe you just need to follow different people. Mastodon also has pretty good filters so as a last resort you can just filter that crap out

Have you considered those ads simply aren't targeted at people like you but at the mainstream instead? And that you may well still be susceptible to adds targeted at your kind of mindset?
