  • I've done a fair bit of it and there are pros and cons. I can do it and still like it, but I'd prefer to share experiences with someone. I'm not going to not travel until I have someone to travel with though.

  • Nice thanks! That does seem like the sort of thing I'm after!

  • Welp I just finished the end of the Dark Tower series (on audiobook). The final book kinda felt like a rushed mess to tidy up all of the stories and characters. It even managed to shove some new characters into the story out of nowhere really late in the piece. I also felt like the "big bad" was a big letdown.

Stephen King remains a pervy weirdo too.. never missing a chance to talk about his female character's breasts throughout the entire series. I'm not sure there was a single female character of whom he didn't describe or refer to their breasts at least once. It was pretty jarring and me feel odd whenever he'd do it for seemingly no reason.

Anywho, now I need to figure out if I want to jump off the King train and discover something new, or check out another level of the tower in another King book. Before I read the Dark Tower I read The Shining which I enjoyed so I could check out Doctor Sleep except I stupidly read the plot for that back before I started to get into the books. I attempted The Stand but I lost interest as I already knew the story pretty well from the TV show and my reading of wiki pages when the TV show came out. Was considering It.. I've never seen any of the It movies but I do know a little bit about the story there. Maybe I should skip to something without a TV/movie adaption so I can be more surprised. There's a whole world of books to discover, I just need to find what gets me hooked.

  • Still awake and it's starting to get light outside. Already told work that today isn't going to work out. It's not them, it's me.

  • Accidentally napped for over 3 hours. Woke and remembered the washing I put on at lunch time was still in the machine. Not covering myself in glory today.

  • My ex-girlfriend's name just popped up as a recent chat in Facebook Messenger. A name which hasn't appeared on my phone for 8 years.

Turns out some old friends who have broken up have decided to leave some old group chats we all had together which I archived many years ago, which made them pop up again to inform me that they left the group. That means conversely, my name must have just popped up on my ex's Facebook Messenger too.

    Fun times.

  • Ohh I forgot to mention, I found out my car seat has this extending function and it's SO COMFORTABLE. I didn't think it'd make a lot of difference but it's actually so good. It just supports your thighs so much compared to the normal seat. If you get a chance to get a car with this, I fully recommend it.

  • Science results: SUCCESS! The grill officially heats party pies and sausage rolls better than the oven.

  • I just realised that the other day when I cooked party pies and sausage rolls that I'm pretty sure I accidentally used the grill function of instead of the oven function and they actually turned out really great. I'm going to try again now for lunch, for science.

  • I would like more references to the panini!

  • In the book I've been listening to, they mention Powdered Eggs so I just had a bit of a look online at what exactly they are. Turns out they're just dehydrated eggs and APPARENLTY they scramble up quite nicely but I'm dubious.

Anyone scrambled up some powdered eggs? I might Science this bitch up next time I go to the supermarket. How bad could they be? Surely not as bad as the ready to pour eggs you can get in those milk carton styles because I tried them once and they suuuuuucked.

  • You know it! Sans spinach because I'm not Popeye.

I always come for an Eggs Benny at The Naked Tree cafe when I'm in Yarrawonga.

  • The sun is shining up on the border 😎

And now for my next trick: I nap for an hour or two.

  • I just remembered I have like $1500 play-cash in my backpack from my cruise which I didn't spend because I was sick.

I could just go to the bank and deposit it back into my savings orrrrrr... the weather up on the border is looking pretty good for today/tomorrow.

  • Apparently an hour nap at like 4:30pm has meant I'm still awake at 5am. What is this bullshit, body? We've been alive long enough to have the hang of falling asleep by now, idiot.

  • Doing my part by driving around blasting The Beards with the window down. Just got home. I got that Murray St ice cream AND they had a boysenberry one so I grabbed that too. Also party pies and sausage rolls.

God DAMN it I just now realised I forgot ice magic.

Anyway.. I also got chocolate. Don't shop if you haven't eaten since breakfast the day before.

  • I just had this weird urge to bake a cake but then I've remembered it's a public holiday so I can't get cake making stuff. Maybe Saturday.

I'd love some fresh warm cake.

  • bites lip*

I love me some ice magiiiiic argh

  • You know just what to say to convince me
