Saw Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire this evening. I like that they're not taking it too seriously these days with this franchise. It's simple storied, full of cheesy exposition and it's big dumb fun. There is a place in the world for kaiju movies which delve into human nature and deeper meanings but this franchise ain't it... and that's just fine by me.
Considering I can't make up my mind on where I'd like to go this weekend, I think I might just save my money and sleep at home. Maybe just do a day trip or two. Maybe I should actually try going somewhere in the city considering I live here, try a pub or something. A few hundred a night minimum to stay somewhere on Easter weekend for a trip I tried to talk myself into isn't sounding very smart to me right now, but I'll still make sure I get to do some driving.
There'll be a lot of disappointed anacondas after Sunday. I actually haven't had a single HCB this year yet. I should make the effort to get my hands on some high quality buns before the weekend.
Going into the office in the morning to demo some new tech to one of our executives. Should be done in 30 minutes then I can jump on a tram and head home. 5 meetings over 2 days until the long weekend and I still have no idea where I'll go. Leaving it so late is likely going to limit my options somewhat.
Why am I procrastinating going to sleep? Sleep is great. Ok bye bye.
by sci-fi do you mean computers/technology/spaceships or are you including anything supernatural?
I walked out of the cinema within 10 minutes of the start of The Ring when it came out. I don't generally do scary movies and I was literally the only one in the cinema so I just noped out of there.
I do and he doesn't. We're not a very outwardly affectionate type of family and he's one one of those country town raised boomer types who doesn't go in for that stuff.
Found myself being more conscious of what I was listening to in the car now that I have a dashcam. That's probably normal for the first few days of ever having a dashcam I expect.
At the same time, if I end up submitting a video to DCOA and I'm belting out A Whole New World I won't be ashamed.
It's dashcam installation day! Then I just need to witness something worth submitting to YouTube while singing in the car, get discovered by a talent agent from that exposure and then I'll be a ⭐ STAR ⭐
I've made the switch from Spotify Premium and have finally taken YouTube up on its offer of a free 2 month trial of YouTube Music which comes with YouTube Premium. I was already blocking YouTube ads on my PC but it's nice to not have ads on my phone too.
Not 100% sold yet on YouTube Music but I haven't really put it through its paces. I've only played some of the curated playlists. I was concerned about the lower audio quality than Spotify but experts online swear that YouTube Music do some magic to make it sound as good if not better so here I am, trying it out. Quality sounds pretty good to me so far too.
I finally saw another car the same as my own on my way to the supermarket! As in the exact same model (50 year anniversary model which only comes in 1 colour which is unique to that model). I beeped at it. Twinsies!
YOU HAVEN'T SEEN B99?? Crazy.
Also if you like the vibe of Superstore you might like Tacoma FD.. which I've just learned has been cancelled after 4 seasons noooooo
