  • when the data used to train the AI is copyrighted, how do you make it open source? it's a valid question.

It is actually possible to reveal the source of training data without showing the data itself. But I think this is a bit deeper since I'll bet all of my teeth that the training data they've used is literally the 20 years of Facebook interactions and entries that they have just chilling on their servers. Literally 3+ billion people's lives are the training data.

  • Not only that but from what I've heard all Teslas have issues with rain and going through car washes. This is not a car company this is a tech company that tried to make cars. The only reason they have succeeded thus far is because none of the actual car makers were outputting electric vehicles seriously. Now that they are Tesla is doomed cause they're absolute shit at designing automobiles.

  • I'll also reiterate that they flat out will not even use a TV sometimes because they're defeated by the smart TV features that prevent them from getting over to their Comcast box.

Yes I did read your comment and here you just proved my point. And my solution was not for old people. Point I was making in my comment was that old people are already lost cause. They don't understand technology and therefore will not benefit from it. So yeah they get suckered into buying these TVs and then they never use them properly or they get somebody younger to set them up so that they can use either Netflix or Disney+ since those are the only things they know of to watch whatever programs they can pull up or they pay someone to get a cable box plugged in and surf like they did in the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s.

My "fix" is for younger people, twenties to '50s, who don't want to deal with the ad-pocalypse. I have been able to set it up multiple times with various sized computers right down to a Raspberry Pi. And yeah, of some ain't tech savvy enough to plug a computer into an HDMI port and use it to watch stuff on their TV, I have no sympathies. We live in a digital age and if you're younger than '50 years old and can't work a computer, you're dead out of luck when it comes to digital entertainment and you might as well get used to having ads shoved in your face the rest of your life.

  • I haven't had a living grandmother in... I don't even know how many years at this point.

But the fact of the matter is, the older generations don't really use Smart TVs, they're still using Comcast boxes and accessing regular TV. Some of the more tech savvy will engage Netflix or Disney+ but beyond that, it's doubtful they even know anything beyond those exist.

  • I think you underestimate just exactly how popular Putin is with the Russian people, or I should say was originally. I don't think he's as popular now because of the "police action" in Ukraine and the number of Russians who have died to it and the economic hit the country has taken as a result of it. But he was insanely popular with the Russian populace through most of the 2010s.

  • To be fair the social security number is not exactly the most secure thing in the world. More than likely there's a lot of people who have your social security number and you don't have any clue that they do.

That being said, I don't understand why he's being allowed this kind of access. Even with the Orange douchebag's blessing, there should be other people minding the store. Shouldn't there?

  • This is not the way to do that. This is a way to get rid of your best people because, as the United States government is about to find out, when you offer a voluntary exit to people with a severance package the ones who know they have ability and are competent will take that package and leave and get better jobs. And the ones that know they suck or are too lazy are going to stay. There's actually a list somewhere of companies that have done this and have gone under because of it.

  • In order to split the party we need a strong group to gather around in opposition to the established liberal party. And unfortunately the trademarked Progressive Party™ is owned by insane people that no one wants to have anything to do with. So another name needs to be thought up.
