  • While he is actively dismantling the government we all rely on it will not just "blow over". Also, Tesla as a company is on a downward track no matter what. What happens to a car company when no one buys their cars anymore?

  • It's not just about shit talking to Dems because they show up to hear us shit talk to them. It's about the fact that 10 Democratic senators just voted with the goddamn Republicans to strip Americans of basic needs in order to give a massive tax break to billionaires.

Those Democrats don't represent me. And since one of them is from my own state I'm going to make damn sure he doesn't get another chance.

  • There's more than one store to buy such things at, try Home Depot for instance, they even carry the stuff in bulk. And online purchasing exists so you're not relegated to just that option.

If you believe being independent is more important, then more power to you. But even "making your own" you're dependent on getting the baking soda and soap from stores as well so it's really just a matter of how much you need to save and how far you're willing to go to secure that savings.

  • I don't know about needing to make your own detergent. But using dry detergent would be a drastic improvement in cost compared to what most people do because if you're buying liquid detergent, most of what you're buying is water.

  • Fabric softener mostly just deals with the leavings of hard water on your clothes and in your machine. So anything that does that same job would work. Lot of people say vinegar is a good idea. I don't know but a little bit of CLR might actually work too.

  • He was still getting his feet wet in that term and he only had them all for half his term. And they at least pretended to give a shit about the less wealthy constituents, that tax break they gave to "everybody" expired for the middle and lower class after a year or two but was there for the wealthy well into Biden's term.

This time they're not even pretending to care. They're relying completely on their propaganda to convince their idiotic fans that tariffs are going to be a tax on other countries and their bills will go lower as a result of it. Meanwhile they're going to gut Medicaid and other social services in order to give money to the wealthiest people in the country.

So in answer to your comment, they will hopefully notice this time because they're going to be hurting as a direct result of what Trump is doing as opposed to something he could deflect as being "because liberals".

  • The thing is even more ridiculous because the Republicans warned him not to have the town hall and have told their members to only have online town halls or "moderated" chats. So they can keep any dissenting voices out and project an image of everyone loving what they are doing.

Now they are just relegated to calling things like this "democratic operatives" trying to disrupt civil Republican discourse. This isn't gonna work as well as they think because people know who is hurting them since the Republicans own all the branches right now.

  • That doesn't mean that their effect on the GPU market will up and vanish overnight. Market correction doesn't usually go down as fast as it goes up.

Edit: add to that the tariff situation and the standoff with China and Taiwan (where all the processors for gpus are made), and you have a situation where things are just going to get more expensive no matter what.

  • Tech bros and "influencers" don't count. We're talking about real people. All of those devices failed because no one other than those seeking to ride the bleeding edge of technology actually are interested. The most anyone want Siri or Google Assistant to do is set alarms, set appointments, and pick-up/hang-up the phone when you're on speaker. Sometimes it's nice to ask it to do a search but the original versions of these did that fine until they started "improving" them with "AI".
