That is really just a synonym for "democratic state". Whenever someone attacks the "deep state", they actually mean "democratic state". Whenever you come across the phrase, "deep state", just auto-correct it in your own mind to "democratic state" for crystal clarity.

Long ago I started changing the channel whenever Traitorapist Trump was on TV. I don't want to see or listen to a pedophile talking. I can always listen to someone later on summarizing how many lies Trump told.

The entire federal workforce has extremely poor morale right now because of Traitorapist Trump. And the poor morale likely also caused the 2nd problem of not enough workers doing air traffic control. Trump's enshitification efforts have already had time to take effect. The quality of government has already been degraded.

He caused this to happen with his various actions of enshitifying the quality of government.

There is a good chance this was caused in large part by Trump and his enshitification efforts. Right now the entire federal workforce is demoralized by various actions of Traitorapist Trump, degrading the quality of government across all levels. Air traffic controllers are part of the federal workforce. They were also short staffed, which in itself was likely cause by the poor morale. Blaming the hiring of minorities makes no sense given that a big part of the problem was not enough staff.

Trump knows this and knows that other people will make that connection too, and so him blaming this on DEI was his way of deflect the blame away from his rapid enshitification of government.
