  • He did have a drivers license and was shown driving in 2014 on a video that his wife posted. The license expired in 2020. He probably didn't renew it, since ex-presidents are also not allowed to drive, so he hasn't been allowed to drive since 2016.

  • The problem is that they're also tanking the economy. Many people won't have the economic freedom to choose their employment.

Already, people don't really work in Amazon warehouses because they want to piss in bottles.

  • There is no boycott. People just don't want to buy it.

The ones that do want to buy one already bought one. It's unfortunate for Musk that his wealth is tied to an unrealistic expectation of continuously increasing sales, but that's just bad judgement on his and the investors parts.

  • Easy come, easy go. I think it was pretty obvious from the start that the richest man on Earth was balancing on a bloated balloon.

He's still filthy rich from the payouts he took along the way, but I guess he will soon feel the interests of the Twitter loans piercing into his actual assets.

  • The real issue is that the drain trap is much smaller for a shower than that in a toilet even if the pipes are the same diameter.

The waffle grid is for the exact purpose of stopping things that are too large for the drain trap, so theoretically it should be fine. If it passes the grid, it can pass the trap. However, the drain trap doesn't clean out entirely every time. If you stomp shit into the drain, then the trap will contain shit until it is cleaned out. It will also smell like shit, which defeats the purpose of having the trap in the first place.

Drain traps are disgusting enough without the addition of shit. Even in best case, it will accumulate hair mixed with shampoo and conditioner. I doubt that mixing it with shit will generate any kind of water savings, because it will require a thorough cleaning more often. Also, the main pipes actually needs a lot of water to drain. If by saving on water you eventually have to call a plumber to blast out the fat-bergs it will require a whole lot of more water.

  • You will need to check your local legislation.

There are EU regulations, but those are minimum requirements and they are not implemented everywhere yet. Unfortunately it's basically impossible to know where the animals come from unless they tell you.

  • I used to look forward to weekends and would often postpone personal projects to the weekends where I would have the time to do them.

It's a lie. I don't have time in the weekends. There's always something else in the way, because everyone else also want to connect in weekends. It only causes frustration from not being able to do whatever I actually want.

It's also bullshit that I have to postpone private stuff for weekends. I want to live my life 7 out of 7 days. Not 2 and then work 5. I'm not happy with giving 70% of my life away, and hoping to catch up in the remaining 30%.

It might seem somewhat egoistic, but if you want time for yourself, you will have to prioritize time for yourself. That includes giving lower priority and more often saying no to work, friends and family. If you try to please everyone, then your time will be consumed by everyone. You have to put yourself first and align other people's expectations.

However, it's not really egoistic. It's better to be fully present when you're doing stuff with others, than to sit at their place wishing you were home. That includes work.

Also, I'm now focusing on carving out time in weekdays for the things I want to do. No more overtime work, no more procrastenation and relaxing just to prepare for the next day. Sure, I will work the agreed hours to make money, but I am going to take ownership of the rest of the day. That's somewhat easier in the summer where I have more energy and the weather is better. In the winter I am almost hibernating but then I also lower my expectations for what I can do.

So in short, it's necessary to plan your time and it's necessary to align expectations from others but also your own.

  • Letters can be send as packages instead. They already are, because the letters are more expensive. This is the main reason for why the postal service is no longer financially viable. It was privatized and outcompeted.

I believe the price for shipments is artificially low. It's not reasonable that I can order boxes from China cheaper and faster than delivering a letter across town.

  • I'm beginning to consider the idea of having an apartment but then also a plot of land with just a shed or cottage. Something like that. I'd like to spend more time outside in most of the year but also keep the convenience of an apartment during winter. I have a house in a good location now, so it'll probably not happen unless something drastic happens. Maybe when the kids move out.

  • I read a reaction from a Greenlandic politician. He was mostly upset about the laugh track that followed Trump saying "incredible people".

Watch the clip again if you didn't notice.

It's perfectly reasonable that they don't want to be addressed like that. The politician went on to call it an "unacceptable human view".

I agree. The act of the middle school bully doesn't translate into anything remotely strong or respectable. It's just disgusting. It doesn't matter who or what they're talking about, and when presenting themselves by giggles and eye-rolling, they're really only presenting their own insecurity by hiding their disgusting views in the support of a laugh track.

I am from Denmark, which actually colonized Greenland. We have made mistakes and treated them badly in the past for sure, but never like that. We have never laughed in their faces when doing so.

  • Practice with a microphone and headphones. Add some delay.

You will soon learn proper microphone technique and also how to adjust and get accustomed to the sound of your voice.

  • If its not the default it’s considered disabled.

Vision is the outlier on this. More people wear glasses than not. This of course goes both ways and in various degrees, but I think the average is slightly nearsighted. It's easily correctable, so nothing is done to make anything more easily accessible for vision impaired people.

However, neurodiversity is not easily correctable, so perhaps we ought to accept that with the rise in diagnosises that perhaps it's actually rather normal and adjust our expectations for what people can actually do, instead of calling a majority of people "sick".

I mean, look at attention disorders like ADHD. They're perfectly healthy and can do all kinds of stuff. They just can't do it for 8 hours straight between 9-17.. its the expectations that need to change. It's sick.

  • I've heard more about it elsewhere. It's very real. It was on national tv news the other day, and some grocery chain is marking European products to help customers and such. I'm not sure how big the economic impact will be though. Where I shop, most stuff is already local.
