  • I feel that your second sentence is too narrow. It goes beyond blaming a woman (or man). It includes society in general and/or any external construct or group. They may blame genetics, the patriarchy, feminism, or whatever other Boogeyman they want.

The underlying issue is that they are absolving themselves of any blame and refusing to accept themselves as the cause. It's unsurprising that this very concept is often a self perpetuating issue. Their incel mentality and refusal of accepting any responsibility pushes any potential women (or men) from a desire to be in a relationship with them. It also builds an "us vs them" mentality that is reinforced by the echo chamber communities they build for themselves.

  • You assume they are an asshole when they could just be having a bad day, a lot on their mind, and were focused on something else more important in their life than parking straight.

And quite frankly, even if they are an asshole who the fuck are you that you have any right to "teach them a lesson."

An eye for an eye leaves the world blind.

  • Why not? So many people put in extra energy specifically to block people who try to merge late, without a blinker, or for any other asinine reason. Just let them in and go on with your day. We all make mistakes when driving or forget to use our blinker occasionally.

Give them the benefit of the doubt and just be kind.

  • Knowing how the right reacts, it seems much like "the people over there hate me, if I say I prefer someone they'll vote against me."

So he says he likes Biden knowing enough people will then vote Trump and push his agenda that way.

  • You have the timeline backwards. That's pretty much how it was untile letsencrypt hit the scene.

But the technology of https works even with a cert not from a trusted root issuer. You just have that annoying page to click through on web browsers.

  • This isn't entirely true. In many cases rights are permanently lost. Quite a few states specifically disenfranchise individuals who have a past conviction of a felony. Those that are most intimately knowledgeable of how terrible the conditions are for prisoners and those that would have the most motivation to see reform are prevented from participating in our democracy and having their voices heard.

In my opinion, this is pretty terrible and is just one of many. Many reasons or criminal justice system needs reform.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, decades of being "tough on crime" has done nothing but to make more criminals.

  • On its own, it has a very low percent chance of recovery. Though it does change based on the mechanism of injury. However, it is extremely useful in prolonging the period in which other medical interventions can be successful. It very much gives time for EMTs to arrive and use defibrillators or chemical intervention.

I'm confident in your training they made it extremely clearly to call 911 and start emergency responders before starting CPR if you are the only person there.

  • This has changed over the last 15 years.

For the longest time I was sure it going to be by my own hand. I had looked at different methods of suicide. I had very bad depression and I thought about it a lot. I eventually started treatment and while it was still a struggle and in no way cured my depression, it helped me make changes in my life that took me out of the situations that exacerbated the depression. I also started treatment for my ADHD.

Now, I'm not so sure. I still have the occasional bout of hopelessness, crying, and ideation. But it's rare now. My girlfriend and her daughter are moving in soon and I'm starting to be optimistic about the future.

Now it's probably my health, a car accident, or I blow myself up somehow.

I don't exercise and I work from home. So I'm overweight and don't move as much as I should.

I like to drive and let's be honest, it's a dangerous method of travel.

I work with explosives. We make it as safe as it can be and it's unlikely something will happen, but it's an inherent risk of the profession.
