I did have the occasional shift that was stress test a new thing so they could train. So riding an attraction that wasn't open yet for 4 hours was pretty fun.

Polling company Cygnal. If you go to their website their clients are all Republican organizations. Pretty much ALL of their clients are Republican.

Hard agree on pretty much all of that.

But it's still my friends and I get in for free, I've been literally thousands of times (most of them Disney paid me to be there) and I, maybe, get on one or two rides a day, if I go on any at all.

Sure, but a lot of those people there are my friends. You can find plenty of posts from me criticizing their management, board, and CEO. I don't like how the company is run or many of their projects. But a lot of people there are actual friends of mine, and it's an avenue for a lot of their art to be seen by the world.

I'm a big fan of theme parks and live entertainment. I haven't seen anywhere that really compares with them on that front. I'm not familiar with anywhere else that does a parade multiple times a day, fireworks practically every night, a dozen small theatrical productions, a large technical fountain show, and an elaborate stage production every single day. Many with people I actually personally know running or working on them.

Disney makes money, and I agree they over charge for everything. But they also do put out a pretty good product for it. For the most part, at least. I have a lot of gripes about some of it because of the standards that I have after working there.

Oh, and I also still utilize friends that I have there to get in for free. I haven't paid to go to a Disney park in nearly 2 decades.

And there are plenty of shows that I've had to manually recover at times. And plenty more that I can't find a copy of at all. I don't get too attached to much, and those I'll usually be seeding on multiple machines myself at that point.

I really don't know how to convince people they should care about others.

I don't know how to teach empathy.

I'm honestly surprised that the fuck head that he is, has been able to build a cult. He's so fucking good damn repugnant.

I worked at Disneyland for 8 years. I still go there every year. It's been over 10 years and I'm still running into people I used to work with and can shoot the shit with them for an hour.

For me, there is something about that place that I took ownership of, cared for people there, and tried to make it better in the small way I could. I see all the effort that so many people have and continue to put in and really appreciate the artistry and care these people have.

It's a place that I feel comfortable in, and I like to just sit, listen to the music and the sounds of the crowds and people watch.

I think it's better when games don't look realistic.

For most things, precedent has been that states can make things more restrictive than federal law.

This goes beyond egg prices, Trump's hate for California, or him weaponizing the DOJ. This is another attempt to say that the federal government overrules anything and everything that states do.

This very much depends on the car.

Most modern computer controlled cars will not discharge the battery at idle unless you have a powerful sound system or an alternator that's already on its way out. And they can adjust idle anyway if needed, most will increase idle when AC is turned on now to compensate the increased load on the engine. Driving the AC compressor is such a light load compared to the moving a 2 ton vehicle.

Also, many newer cars may even run an electric compressor instead of one driven off the motor. Think hybrid vehicles, it wouldn't be feasible to have an AC system that turns off half the time if it's running on the electric motors.

What you might deal with is heat soak if the fans can't move enough air over the condenser core. But modern vehicles are immensely more efficient than even 10 year old vehicles.

Haha. Thanks. I really didn't want to pay Netflix or any other streaming service. But it might have been cheaper than hdds and electricity.

This is something I've been building for over 10 years at this point. I've gone through so many iterations of servers and storage architecture. I've lost my entire TV and movie library multiple times. (I don't back it up because a. It's expensive at this scale and b. this data is easy to rebuild over time.)

I used to gate camp a lot. If anyone was new and wanted to join, I'd let them. If they were new and does in the gate camp I'd usually send them enough isk to replace what they lost and then some.

When I would scam/lofty people, we never killed the noobs. Do that and you won't have anyone to scam when they are rich enough for it to be worth it. And by then they have enough it's not as big of a blow to them.

Hearing literally the same words that came out of the American Nazi party in 1930s that have been spewed by Republicans in the last 10 years was frankly TERRIFYING.
