  • I did look for myself, and wouldn't you know it, you were full of shit. There is absolutely nobody having their comments removed for things like “Hamas is bad” or “Stalin wasn’t so great” Or “China is pretty capitalist”

  • That’s what’s interesting, “reactionary” has started to lose its meaning and more turned into “reacting with an opinion I disagree with”

I'm guessing it only "started to lose its meaning" when you're own reactionary comments got hit.

  • That's funny, my experience is that lemmy.world is much, much more heavy handed, basically removing any comments that go against the consensus and banning the person who made it. The difference is that most people have given up trying to fight it and just don't go there, while lemmy.ml still gets lots of liberals coming over expecting to get the same special treatment as they're own instances, then getting upset when they're treated the same way their own mods treat everyone else.

  • Any country the US sets up a pier near, will have no choice but to deal with the local government. In no universe, will that not be the case. If not, that pier is Israeli territory!

Mmm yes, as we all know, the USA just can't do anything in the Middle East without the approval of the local government, just ask Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen.

Also pretty fucking interesting that you suddenly consider Gaza to be "Israeli territory". So the people living there are Israeli citizens then?

  • I know that the overton window has moved a long way to the right since then, but FDR was a long fucking way from being a socialist; a social democrat at best, but probably more accurate to say he was just what a capitalist was before the neoliberal turn.
