  • Anyone still trying to pedal the “secret Uyghur genocide” nonsense at this point, long after the Western media has given up on it, and with Isreal showing us what an actual genocide of a captive Muslim population looks like, is either knowingly lying or terminally brainwashed.

  • If you believe that “authoritarian” is a well defined or meaningful term and not just a snarl word created during the cold war to equivocate communists and Nazis, I'd say it's questionable whether you're still on the left.

  • authoritarianism and far-left are mutually exclusive.

You're correct, believing that "authoritarian" is a well defined or meaningful term and not just a snarl word created during the cold war to equivocate communists and Nazis is incompatible with being far-left

  • Wow, you sure pivoted away from the Uyghur genocide conspiracy at mach speed. Good attempt to change the topic though; the idea of counting famine deaths from 60 years ago as an example of recent blood letting is so absurd it almost got me.

  • the Uyghuirs in China

Imagine thinking the situation I'm Xinjiang, which, even if all of the nonsense claims made by the far right lunatics like Adrian Zenz were true, still hasn't resulted in any deaths, is worse than the millions upon millions of bodies that the USA left in its wake.

  • so it will never work as history proved multiple times.

What the fuck does it mean for a system to "work"? Real world attempts at communism lead to the most rapid and widespread improvements in human welfare in human history, if it didn't "work", then literally no system every has or ever can. But I'm going to assume you get around this by holding a massive double standard where only communism is expected to produce a perfect utopia or else be permanently declared a failure and impossible.

On paper it is wonderful idea (it truly is),

What exactly do you think communism is, on paper or otherwise? Do you actually know what communists believe, or just what anti communists tell you we believe?

  • Due to them just wanting to sell a PR stunt and clearly doing incompetent due diligence

Nah, they knew. There's no way a guy who "fought in WW2 against the Russians" made it that far without at least someone going "who exactly is this guy, and who did he fight for?"

    It was testing the waters.
