  • Right, and you have proof that it was the Indian government? Feel free to get the bounty the Canadians are offering. This was probably just a gang dispute turned deadly, because the incompetent Canadianaw enforcement can't be bothered to do their jobs

  • So if we divide the Indian community into two exclusive parts, those involved/named in crimes like assaults, vandalism etc and those who aren't - then the Canadian cops aren't doing their job of maintaining law and order by arresting the criminals, the Indian government is asking the Canadians to maintain law and order by arresting the criminals, then what here makes the Indian government unworthy of your intelligence lol. The part that you have a problem with, is the same part the Indian government has a problem with. Wasn't there recently a huge bust of some trucking companies with the RCMP? That's what they should be doing more of, and what I think will improve Canadian lives and Indo-Canadian ties

  • And it's probably a good thing for the Indian media landscape to now be forced to compete with indie content creators of all sorts, flattening the landscape and preventing the rise of mega media conglomerates like in the west. Lots of good content (amidst a sea of slop like everywhere else) but that ease of getting an audience is probably okay.

  • That's exactly the point I'm making, that I can believe Indian operations to target gangsters/terrorists, but targeting political leaders is not what anyone would do. This fellow was the leader of the NDP before he resigned. So which part of my comment did you not understand?

  • I'm sure he's saying it to imply India, but that's never been India's MO. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/apr/04/indian-government-assassination-allegations-pakistan-intelligence-officials

"Analysts believe Pakistani authorities have been reluctant to publicly acknowledge the killings as most of the targets are known terrorists and associates of outlawed militant groups that Islamabad has long denied sheltering."

It's a lot easier for India to manage killing know gangsters and outlaws, but political assassinations puts a stain on your name that is hard to wash off in Indian political circles. And India is back to coalition politics, where centrist policies get the most media attention and these events would unnecessarily mar whatever Modi wants/has planned

  • Not familiar with the show but that was definitely the Atari border ceremony at wagah in Amritsar, Punjab and not Kashmir.

Either way, don't try to equate anything happening near Kashmir to what is happening here. Those are land borders with people living on either side with very real tangible "everyday" problems to whatever pax Americana you have going on in the US.

  • "...these are the things the West could do, but chooses not to." Yeah, the West does whatever TF it's done in Afghanistan, Iraq, West Asia, whatever France has done in Africa. "fuck you to all buyers of Russian oil" You mean like the US and EU? What do u think happens to the Russian oil once it's refined to actual useful oil?

  • Idk what to tell u buddy, the can in the picture on the right is specifically a butane refill can, and you can spray it on a surface and it'll stay liquid for a bit. You can even light it on fire and it'll stay that way. You can try the same thing with any pressurized can of deodorant for example, concentrated spraying for 3-5s on a surface will release enough liquid that you can light it on fire. Old party trick was to spray enough on a leg of pants (or an arm if daring) and light it, and then extinguish in a few seconds
