  • Interesting point. In Dawnshard, we learn that she did :::ask the Radiants to heal her condition, but it was too late by then.:::

  • I didn't know who he is out which character he voiced, but my immediate thought upon reading was "he's gotta be Astarion". Phenomenal performance.

  • map(lambda princess: princess.rescue(), [castle.get_princess() for castle in castles])

  • Yeah, I just wrote another comment and noticed that the government probably has addresses because the IRS needs those to function.

  • I disagree with this approach without even touching the morality aspect.

There should be no way to lose your voting rights once you are of age and a citizen of the US for the very simple reason of limiting the bureaucratic overhead of elections. If every citizen above the age of 18 can vote, you can just completely remove the ridiculous notion of "voter registration".

Just register everyone based on their legal address (which the government should have anyway because taxes). Just like a real democracy.

  • Hey, you're talking to the country that has you actively apply to get a right to vote. The US is seemingly incapable of keeping track of their own citizens.

  • Is it feasible to just sync the database with Nextcloud (I.e. is the database just a bunch of files)?

  • The default is very obviously "no".

If someone does not agree to the new terms, they did not agree to the new terms.

I can't send you a new set of terms for reading my comments and just assume you forfeit your firstborn child to me if you don't answer within 10 minutes.

  • Tbf, I didn't see the .au in the URL.

Good point on the distinction between layoff and firing though. Although I still dislike "redundant" as a synonym for the former.

  • Also a good option for the compact view. When I browse with my left hand, I sometimes open the link instead of the post because that's where my thumb is.

  • Machste nix

  • Dear Kotaku (and other news outlets): can you please stop referring to people getting fired as "being made redundant"?

The term doesn't even work. The people getting axed are very obviously not redundant if axing them likely leads to the cancellation of a project.

  • I mean, that's not exactly news. Windows 10 came out in 2015. It will stop receiving updates after 10 years just like every Windows version has.

  • OP actually gave them doors and actual buildings. I mostly build holding pens that have planks for the ceiling and floors so I can drop in and out.

  • I'm using a JBL flip which I just leave outside the shower on a shelf. Waterproof enough that I can adjust the volume by just reaching past the curtain.

  • Many years ago, our party found itself on a boat going down a river. With nothing better to do, we started fishing, hoping for the plot to continue after a couple of inconsequential dice rolls.

It didn't. We literally spent hours irl rolling dice to fish because our DM was very clearly not interested in running an actual game that day.

We soon started playing without him, bit I think that is the closest I ever got to OSR the ttrpg.

  • He's even addressed as Alex, which is the devs name.

  • What the fuck is Paul even talking about there?

First he says that circumcised men are not covered by Christ's sacrifice, which goes against the single most central point of Christian belief.

Then he says circumcision doesn't matter, only Christ does, just a few sentences later.
