  • I'm annoyed by that too, and I think the reason is so they can cram more ads in it. I had to turn of my adblock for a second and forgot to turn it back on while going to a news site and I swear to God 2/3rd of the page was ads. Turned it back on and those spaces were empty making only 1/3rd of the page used. Still way better tho I'm never turning it off again.

  • The conclusion I got from the video was that, while it's very powerful software, it's very difficult for new users to start using the program due to unintuitive placement of options. That's how he, for a lack of better word, reviews each piece of software, from the eyes of a new user.

But on the other hand, the video is also 7 years old at this point so maybe sibbelius has fixed some of the stuff that he pointed out. I don't really compose music so I honestly wouldn't know.

  • Love tentacrul. I re-watch that video from time to time just because it's so good. It was also really funny watching a later video of his where he just casually dropped that he was working on musescore.

  • So if I understand it correctly, if you were to use this "solution", you'd leave live exposed prongs on one end of the lights, right?

Cause that would make it even dumber than I had imagined lmao

  • In my case it's kind of my fault since I'm on iOS so I have to sideload uYou+, and sometimes I forgot to refresh the app which means I have to connect my phone to my pc and refresh it manually, which put her off of a third party app.

But she has an android phone and, if all is still well and good in phone world since after I switched to Apple, she wouldn't have to deal with that, which I told her. But so far she's not interested and like you said, I have no idea why she puts up with it.

  • Annoying as shit. My girlfriend doesn't have an ad-less youtube app on her phone, and whenever we watch a video on her phone I get genuinely annoyed by the ads.

I've offered to do it for her but so far she doesn't see the need to install one, but apparently youtube is pushing more ads cause she recently started complaining too.
