  • I allow them to feel fat while still demanding they provide evidence if they actually insist they are overweight.

I feel fat even when I’m in a healthy weight range; I think that is patriarchal social programming. I don’t think you can control how someone else feels. But when they start really getting down on themselves, I encourage them to either find evidence that they are overweight and then set goals to deal with it. Or, they can’t actually prove it (ie. They are healthy weight/waist) and then we deal with overcoming the social programming.

Not perfect, but it works for me and my partner. Mostly deals with accepting how we feel and making a plan about it.

  • You could have written 47% opposed privatizing some of Canada Post, the larger percentage of that group. By choosing the smaller opinion group, you make it seem like the support for privatizing some of our public service is actually the more popular opinion, when it is not.

  • Fair point. I’m speaking from a North American perspective, but others have pointed out they may be a native or long naturalized plant.

Ultimately, planting species that are from your local area is better for the native bees of of your area as they are adapted to them.

  • This! Dandelion pollen does not contain all the amino acids necessary to support native bees. However, because they come up first and bees often become attracted to the first things they feed on, they can actually make bees addicted to them. Because they can’t meet their nutritional requirements with them, they die.

    Plant native plants people!

  • More specifically, CPP back tracks on verbiage because new laws passed that don’t permit greenwashing and practices that don’t actually lead to net-zero. They never were going to hit a real net-zero, they just aren’t allowed to lie about it now.

  • I’m graduating at 29 after 6 years! When you are just out of high school, it feels so important to be in line with your peer group. As you get farther from that point, no one carries the same timeline anymore. It’s okay to take more time, and more importantly, it’s okay to fail a class.

Some of my classmates finished their masters before I even started!

  • Personally, I care because I love honey, farm grown food, and they are a poster child for all bees. Without them, there is certainly a lot less care for native bees. While yes they are primarily important for large monocropped farms, that’s your food. Like, so much of your food. Native bee populations aren’t sufficient or interested in pollinating our food crops, so yes we should really care.

  • If you are referring to actors and intimacy coordinators, I think I have you covered.

Sex isn’t just a physical act, it is an emotional one. Acting is taking a script and adding believable emotion to physical actions while staying true to the scene and what the director wants. Sexual behavior can cause emotions to rise and bring out spontaneous or unpredictable actions and feelings, which can ruin scenes and traumatize actors.

Intimacy coordinators are present in the acting industry to help actors navigate the unexpected feelings that may arise and keep actors safe. The last thing you want to happen while filming a rape scene when actors are channeling really intense emotions is for real violence to happen. That is why intimacy coordinators are very very important beyond merely dressing actors to prevent sexual contact in sex scenes.

  • No, I see it as friendly, but I receive them from my friends. I think if you have a doubt in the relationship already you are more likely to interpret any short reply as rude than if you are confident in what your relationship means to them.
