  • You just try to grab onto any difference you can see, starting with a conclusion that she's bad and then working backwards trying to find a reason. She runs for president because that office is responsible for the bulk of issues she wants to address. To start, theyre called the green party for a reason, the president appoints the head of the EPA and Department of Energy. And foremost the president is head of the military, and she's had a long outspoken position against the US's absurd military. The expenses, the wars, the invasions, the abuse of human rights domestically. Throw in the departments of labor and homeland security and its a huge converging point for progressive goals.

  • The democratic senate nominee for my state also has never held a political office.

  • How do you expect someone to get elected if being elected is a prerequisite.

She continues political work. Talks, events, promoting other green party people. Stuff that doesnt make headlines.

  • Ah its that darn work experience required but how do you get work experience paradox.

By this logic we should never elect new politicians.

  • Lets elect them so we can see who's right

  • Oh just kidding, they hate proportional representation for some reason

  • They did. https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/nevada-democrats-sue-to-block-green-party-from-2024-ballot

They resubmitted the signatures with a form given to them by the secretary of state.

Absolutely no one weighing in on this seems to care about the intent of the forms, only that theres a technicality to bar a candidate they dont like from participating in democracy. The form is for submitting petition signatures to show enough support to appear on the ballot, and both submissions of the form contained 3 times the required number of signatures.

This is from back when they submitted the correct form, with around 3 times the required number of signatures. Democrats challenged it, the green party requested a new form, and the details of that incident are in OP's article. The secretary of states office gave them the wrong form, they again submitted 3 times the required number of signatures, and democratic majority supreme court kicked them off the ballot.

  • Cant believe they wouldnt just choose to win office

  • Goddamn thats some hypocrisy

  • I dont believe there is a single stated belief from Stein in the entire article

  • Man the anti-stein crowd cant tolerate the most basic of questions

  • I really, really dont think youve ever supported diplomacy with russia. The notion just suits your current argument, that also hinges on Steins goal of becoming president not affording her any interest in those same diplomatic relations.

  • Notifications are turned on for whenever you respond to this with evidence.

  • Can you imagine if you campaigned against trump half as much as you campaign against progressive parties?

  • Ill wait here for evidence to the contrary

  • Oh yeah im sure youre calling for diplomatic relations with russia all over this site. Unless it involves Stein of course.

  • I did search, and like these two people i was getting articles about the court case instead of the forms.

Hostility to citation just makes political discussion less informed.
