  • He can say he’s going to release the whole thing if he’s not going to commit to a timeline for it. He’s going to be fired on day one, so if he doesn’t do it before then, it’s not gonna happen. I’m sure anything that does get released is going to be missing anything juicy anyway.

  • I’ve wondered the same thing. I never minded ads on news articles as long as they were along the side and out of the way of what I was reading. After they started pushing the ads that spring up in the middle of the text I was reading and click-jacked a few times, I switched over to an ad blocker and never looked back. Good journalism needs to be monetized in some way, but I’m not adding another monthly subscription for a single news source and I’m not reading articles from a source that prioritizes the ads over their content the way they have been. I don’t know how we go back from here.

  • This is mine too. Maybe I waited too long to watch it (I only got around to it about 8 years ago). Maybe I wasn’t in the right headspace when I saw it or something, but there’s no way I’m sitting through again that for another three hours to find out. I heard the sequel was better, so I started watching that shortly after I saw the first one and I made it about half an hour and thought, “I’ve got better things to do with my time than to see this one through,” and turned it off.

  • These things are so they don’t have to pay people to check out your groceries anymore. There’s not much convenience in them when you’re buying produce and have to go through multiple pages to find the item you’re scanning in or god forbid the barcode doesn’t read or put something in the bagging area too quickly and then you have to stand there looking stupid while an employee comes over to help you because the machine encountered an error and won’t let you continue scanning your stuff.
