  • I believe he is beholden to him by way of blackmail. Remember the Steele Dossier.

Steele was first to warn that Russia was mounting a covert operation to elect Donald Trump. Fusion GPS – his partners in Washington DC – have called this the dossier's 'foundational initial assertion' and it was correct. Much later, the Mueller inquiry would state that 'the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome.' Steele wrote about what was happening as early as June 2016...The US intelligence agencies...did not publish their findings until December 2016, too late to prevent the effort to influence the election.

  • What I see from hexbear trolls is an attempt to usurp leftism and turn it into something very weird. They came hard for Biden and Kamala, but don’t really say anything negative about Trump. They talk about “libs” as though the word hasn’t changed which group it refers to over the course of the last century.

It is quite clear to me that they do this to advance Russian interests and global fascism. They will, of course, deny it, but they are simply manipulators.

  • I’m starting to understand why Japanese defamation law is so weird.

the act of unlawfully lowering the societal evaluation, such as the credibility or reputation, of a specific person to an unspecified or broad audience.

It doesn’t matter if what was conveyed about the “injured” party was true, only that it harmed their reputation.

Can’t wait for our current government to follow suit.
