  • What will happen to the remaining donated funds once everything has been settled (assuming there's funds left over)?

  • Sounds like it's not the technical side that's too difficult, but managing the users.

  • The study, by Dr Alexander Nurse, a reader in urban planning at the University of Liverpool, found multiple concerns about a “very toxic” and “often abusive” debate about cycling, although this was primarily down to opponents, and often those posting anonymously on social media.

This occasionally went beyond virtual targeting, with one councillor describing having details of their address and family published as a threat, while another respondent said they were followed in the street and their family was abused.

Yeah I don't think this kind of behaviour is very productive to their aims. People in online spaces can get really unhinged.

It's hardly surprising that they prefer face to face discussions.

We do need significantly better cycling infrastructure though.

  • Why not? You don't have to buy them every year.

  • I'm still on 11. How much different is 11 to 15?

  • I used to go to Creamfields and people would walk around with rucksacks full of drugs just casually asking people in the crowd if they wanted to buy some.

Unless she's got a fucking enormous vagina then she must have been just on the limit for personal use. 3 years is crazy.

  • Are you telling me that women don't have a vagain?

  • Tables used to drive me nuts. You'd move a column by mistake and it would be nearly impossible for the lines to align again, like they'd always be 1px out.

  • This is one the few things I can remember and I have literally no use for it.

  • I'd kind of think it would be in their interest to, not because they give a shit about what their end users think, but what their customers (advertisers) think. I'd imagine that advertisers are paying x amount to reach real humans that can spend money, so if it turns out that businesses are paying to advertise to bots then I can't see them being too happy about that. Not unless they're upfront with businesses and they tell them that x% of their user base is bots and they'll only charge them to advertise to real people.

  • I get it. They want to combat bots and potentially even detect if a person is old enough to use the platform. However Facebook has eroded absolutely any trust that there's no way I'd give them this. Not that I use Facebook anyway.

  • Most countries have intelligence agencies for internal threats. How would you detect and prevent terrorist attacks without them?

  • How does Lewis' race engineer still have his job? He's awful.

  • I'm way under 50 but I'll be wearing shorts until October or November! My legs don't feel the cold as much as the rest of my body and it's just more comfortable than wearing trousers.

  • Really? How warm would it have to be for you to not wear a jacket?

  • Yep! Although it's usually teenagers that wear them in totally absurd conditions.

  • In the UK you'll often see teenage boys wearing big thick black jackets in the peak of summer. Even when it can be in the mid 30Cs. I've no idea what drives them to make such decisions.

  • It's a nice bike! What sort of range does it get?
