  • It would be hilarious if the game came out and was set in some fictionalized northern city like detroit or something. I know there was already leaks making it look like vice city, but I still think it would be so funny after almost a decade of people going "itll be vice city" without very concrete proof

  • People seem to think that Rockstar milked it, and still is. Lots of paid content and P2W, if I’m not mistaken?

People seem to think, because they did.

  • repositioning while in dialog are never explained.

I'm a few hours in and I don't know what you mean? Do you mean being able to switch to a different character in a dialog? If so I'd love to know how to do that. I hate starting dialogue where I need charisma with my low charisma character

  • which are also notoriously mined under horrid conditions - i.e. “blood diamonds”

Not only are blood diamonds mined under bad conditions, they are mined in mines owned/controlled by insurgents and terrorist groups, and then the sale of these diamonds is used to fund the activities of these groups. Watchdog organizations are a lot more careful about blood diamonds these days than they were 20 years ago, but it's still possible to accidentally get ahold of one. That's why it's so bad to buy one and it's why people all over the world made a fuss about them back around 2000 - 2003, because buying one directly funds atrocities in central Africa. They're usually sold cheaper than the monopolized diamonds too.

  • One of my professors had a textbook that was shockingly out of date for the subject. Like we're talking using scientific data from 1995 at the latest, and I took this class 2 years ago. He sent a bunch of emails to the textbook author and eventually he came out with a "Fourth Edition" in response that changed NOTHING. The book was exactly the same except for a different cover. It was so bad that in the syllabus our professor warned us not to buy the fourth edition for the hefty $70 upcharge because it's the same thing as the third edition.

  • Best mission in the game. Nothing else compared. Especially that soundtrack.

  • I mean I'm lucky because my state borders Canada. Roads might be blocked but you can literally just walk across the border. Some of the dirt paths crossing it are monitored on camera by the RCMP, but the entire border is just an open clearing so you can literally just walk.

I'm sure if the US broke out into civil war again, Canada would already be taking in refugees anyway.

  • iirc a lot of tracks and albums get removed if it's later found out that samples or royalties weren't cleared on the record. For instance Death Grips' "Exmilitary" mixtape was removed a few years ago because a lot of samples on the mixtape weren't cleared with their original creators.

  • Oh I'm the opposite. I listen to so much music I'd be spending so much money on it.

My dad is the same and he spent thousands on CDs and later on iTunes for his music collection. Spotify and other subscriptions definitely saved him money.

  • Unfortunately with my current situation I have to drive for my job. I've considered other work but in my situation I'm making more than enough money at this job. It requires my car.

Otherwise I might get a bike. There's no free parking in my city though that you can park at indefinitely. You gotta move it after 72 hours or you get fined, or you pay hourly at some lots.

  • A&M sure is an interesting name for a record label

  • It's the "Honey! We now own a star!" of the 21st century
