Understood, and I appreciate the clarification, but it does damage, or at least work against, the credibility of most of the body of the article, so I would likely not have used it if I'd noticed that as I went through.

I apologize for missing that! I got really excited when I found that article because it seemed to cover it all so succinctly.

And they [Trump aides] say his current campaign operation has been often described as his most serious and professional to date.

That seems like a pretty low bar.

This has just led me down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out why this meme exists.

Even if we pretend her entire voting base were Democrats, and even if we pretend she's going to have a 100% success rate convincing unregistered voters to register, and even if we pretend 100% of all her fans then vote Democrat, she's a private citizen playing the same legal game as every other private citizen is entitled to play. She's not breaking any laws and she's not breaking any rules.

Republicans are entitled to do everything she's doing.

Reminds me of the time Republicans in some local election had sent out a mailer smearing the Dem candidate. There was a big box on one part of the card, in a large font against a dark background proclaiming that the Dem candidate wanted to "Educate and Transform you!"

Well, I thought, do your donors know you are campaigning for the Democrat?

Yep, Brother rocks.

Too lazy for my usual lengthy monologue about Brother when this comes up, but works well with Linux, far more reasonable ink cost than any other brand I've tried, and the even low end 'inkvestment' model we have has really lived up to its claims regarding ink longevity. It doesn't even hassle you when you use off brand ink, but I only tried hat once since I had so little complaint about the Brother ink. You do lose ink level indication, which is annoying, but that's it, and manually checking level is also easy with this style of printer.

Glad you enjoyed it, I found it to be an unexpected and encouraging take.

IIRC during 2020 they made it (or it already was) probable cause to detain if you had any defensive gear at all, even just mask and shield. God forbid you'd be someone who just wants to be able to protect yourself from teargas or other wrongful attack by police (or, plausibly, protestors) because you happen to exist near a protest.
