  • Thanks for the input and i will look into it again because I really like the idea. Can I send you a DM if I run in some problems along the way?

  • Today i have a torrenting server. A headless ubuntu server with qbittorrent-nox tjat i acccess via a webbroswer. I have trouble setting up the same with i2p (haven't looked at it super much). I get torrenting over ipsnark on my PC to work but the headless webui i2p torrenting I don't get to work. Especially when I whant to surf i2p with the same router that I torrenting over. The goal is to have it in docker.

One more problem I always get is that I am always "firewalled" when I search some people say open ports in router and other say don't.

  • Now i am going to set up unbound. I am sick of DNS blocking...

  • I understand what you mean and can agree with you to some extent. It is good in that it clearly helps to counter extremism.

The problem I see is when a party can be against backdoors when they talk about elections for the country and then vote yes in the EU. Then comes "defense" – now we are no longer talking about the country but the entire EU, and these are two different things.

I also don't quite understand what you mean by "all-in" voting.

I hope they will take privacy seriously. I don't think they will. Poland has a new proposal that doesn't seem to be liked by the Council of Ministers. If chat control goes through, I believe it will break with previous laws and regulations "for the greater good."

  • Yes know that it is different instances. But encryption becomes more and more an hot topic. And the split between EU, government, Law enforcement authorities and the military is concerning.

We vote on the "big" parties of our country's and the same party that says no to backdoors I'm the government can say yes in EU and vice versa.

So what I really want to say is if we can't agree on what we want's it's going to result in bad and weird laws. We can't say yes and no at the same time.

I hope you get what I mean..

  • So they havet changed their mind about chat control? You can't say yes and no at the same time.

  • Did you install the games on Windows? Have you tried AAA games? How did you run the games? Bottles, lutris, steam, heroic etc?

  • Thx I will try getting used to things and see what is best solution for me😊

  • Thx for the advise😊

  • But it should not be a problem to install them in a separate folder on the HDD?

  • This is what I whants to do also. I have 3 drives Linux, window and games

I have installed all the games with windows and now I can't start atleast red dead from dodi.

  • thx for the replies! the fix from @candyman337@sh.itjust.works did not fix my problem :/

as for the other replies do you guys mean i need to install the games i want to run on linux with linux on my HDD and games i run on windows with windows on the same HDD?

  • Yes this will be brought up again and again but everytime it falls it is a win for us, i think it is important to remebemer that. We need to share information and stand up next time too. it can also become better in the future, Swedish FRA (like USA´s NSA) says e2ee is important and urges people to use it. Netherlands inteligent agency says that chatcontrol harms national security. FBI and CISA urges people to use e2ee after china hacked into lawfull intercept backdoors. All this have happend since last time chatcontrol was on the agenda and this time 2 more countrys has agreed to say no.

FBI and Cisa: Nederlands inteligent agency 1: Nederlands inteligent agency 2: Swedish FRA:

  • Yes, this time... but we won again and i think it is important to remember that. i think this will be brought up again but we need to spread the word when it is happening and stand up again and again when it is happening. We need to win everytime but the politicians only needs one time "democracy" it is called.

    CHATCONTROL STOPPED!

  • Swedish FRA (like USA's NSA) have done the same.

But Swedish government doesn't listen and whant to enforce laws like HDA (hack Swedish devices with 0days). Realtime AI face recognition on public places. Force services like social media, isp, Telecom companies and more to save all traffic for up to 2 years incase of criminal activity.

Then we have Eu's "going dark" project that aims on attacking encryption.

  • Yes you are absolutely right. I have talked about this in Swedish with friends and online "debates" that I simple password-protected zip file is all that is needed to bypass the whole idea of chatcontrol. And then you can safely share csam. If real criminals can use this simple trick, who is chatcontrol going to watch and flag for CSAM?

  • Looks that way I don't understand how they are thinking. It is pretty obvious that they dont trust thorn or other lobbyists so they know the risks.

    Edited

  • The European Ministry whants to exclude themselves and europeans intelligence agencies (europool) from the surveillance. The Ministry is the only instance that's have talked about excluding.

  • As I understand it, it's exactly like the online safety bill in the uk. but I'm not that well-read on online safety bill.
