The problem is that Republicans literally run "on the government is useless". They don't want to govern. They want power. They want to finish turning the government into an extension of our corporate overlords and cut any and all benefits, except corporate handouts.

This is what they want, but it's a bad look since their voters might see exactly what they stand for. All they've done is hold meetings where they talk but nothing gets done. They're using their committees to run interference for trump and poison the well for Biden like they did for decades with Hillary. Then scream deep state is holding us back. Fuck 'em. They have the majority, figure it out.

I thought VPs already didn't really do anything, but being on the board and meeting 2 or 3 times a year is definitely less.

Then 6 months later gets a VP job somewhere else because he "has experience" all the while eyeing another run at CEO.

Yup, Ttere was a lot of chatter on how trump's protest rally could easily turn violent. We've been slowly getting info since then that basically trump or a lackey had to give permission to send in the national guard.

I wonder if there will be an Operation Paul Bunyan type incident where Philippines and Japan send fishing boats escorted by frigates, cruisers, and whatever aircraft carrier is in the area as a show of force.

I think they're fed up with Mccarthy giving gaetz as much as they can and gaetz refusing to budge. Didling kids, fraud, or whatever shit he's done isn't that big of a deal to Reps, but they can't have their own forcing them to negotiate with dems to run the Gov't.

I think it's that the hard liners would immediately kick Mccarthy and no one wants to deal with those assholes and run for majority leader. I don't think they need evidence. They just want the headlines so they can point to them later on. They did the same thing with Hillary Clinton. These old career politicians don't become millionaires from their federal salaries.they have PACs and get paid to be guest speakers. After they quit, they get paid millions a year to be consultants or some bullshit title VP where they only meet once a year to justify "working".

Whenever I think of West Virginia I think of rundown early 20th century homes and barefoot kids in overalls. I know it's a stereotype, but check out that video. It's so sad that they fight so hard for the coal mines that killed 3 generations because it's the only steady income in the area.

I don't condone killing politicians, but I do think tar and feathering should become fashionable again. If you're too old to outrun your constituents or survive your chickening, you're to old to represent them.
