You’re right, that definitely could have happened too. I just can’t help but think of him trying to describe the shot to somebody. Though it would be equally pathetic to see him snap the photo on timer, run over, look at pic, reset the timer, try again… for like 50 times.
Anytime I see these types of terrible pics, I think of the planning this self-important asshole agonizes over while the struggling gig photographer has to keep their eyes from rolling out of their head.
Fair, but I would argue that in and of itself is not the major problem. There were flame wars/trolls/squabbles on the internet for years. Then along came the rage-rewarding algorithms and clickbait based on profiling, and it all went to shit. Basically, dumping gasoline on ego and indignity.
There is no algorithm like that here. You could argue that “popular” posts are the most inflammatory, but that’s not the case in a lot of the communities I frequent.
Be outgoing and funny and you’ll find what you need. Hell, most likely it’ll come to you. You wouldn’t want one of those chicks who fawn over those “masculine” man-children anyway.
