  • It’s the exact opposite of trapped but what about something like this old comic

Where the princess is in cahoots with the dragon. Maybe there are evil knights coming to marry her, and she needs to create a path for Prince Charming.

  • Between 1976 and 2015, an astonishing 80 percent of the state’s capital sentences were later reversed—nine people have been exonerated off death row in the time that Duncan has been there.

The state pushes the death penalty willy nilly, and 80 percent of them get overturned. Discredited pseudoscientists make up a story to ruin this guys life. A democrat governor signed a law to allow prisoners more ability to present evidence and overturn convictions. Lets see what the republicans have to say:

Landry, the Republican governor who has pushed hard to make state laws more punitive since he took office in early 2024, has derided the 2021 law that created the factual innocence statute as a “woke, hug-a-thug policy,” arguing that it gave too much discretion to DAs to let prisoners go free. In a blog post about the law written while he was running for governor in 2023, he opined: “once a verdict has been finalized, there are no more ‘get out of jail free’ cards.”

  • Then step out your parents door without a cent and see how long til you’re some bum, apparently undeserving of kindness or empathy. During slavery, slaves were told they weren’t in the right position for children either. All this technological advancement and according to you it’s still down to the exploited to accept the joys of life aren’t of their station.

  • So he crashed the economy, ignores calls from other countries, goes out on the golf course with no mics, tells his friends something like “only I know the truth”, publicly posts the time to buy on a site only his most loyal sycophants are on, then when his friends buy, they’ve got plausible deniability as they were just going with the public. Why set all that up if he’s got the SEC on a leash anyways?

  • I like the wall a lot more, but I’m not opposed to throwing Final Cut on every now and then. I was trying to remember the title track lyrics, I forgot it mentions clear blue skies too.

Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes I can barely define the shape of this moment in time And far from flying high in clear blue skies I'm spiralling down to the hole in the ground where I hide

And if we’re talking 80s sax you can see me winding my way down baker street 🎷

  • Now I’m no economist, but it seems like an unstable future would make bitcoin worthless. Gold is a tangible good, even if the us crashes and burns, it still has value, unlike a speculative asset like bitcoin. The ever useful idiot is purposefully deregulating and crashing the us economy and announcing plans of selling our gold out from under us to his friends for fakebux.

“Aim for the king, you better not miss”

They are ensuring the biggest possible crash before the final transfer of wealth and power from the have nots to the want for nothing, scrooge mcduck-ass, swimming in opulent wealth haves.

  • Love the new features. You could post the markdown editor as its own keyboard extension. Undo and redo right there are invaluable, maybe with cut and paste.

The only features I can think of is a toggle so when you scroll the feed, if you long press media instead of save/share have it show the media in something like Quick Look. And video scrubbing

I feel like sometimes people shy away from open source because it can be unpolished, but not Mlem. This is polished to a shine, and adding loops integration is a cherry on top.
