AFAIK there is no such thing as hourly full-time in the US. Some places do the paychecks that way, but you are either part-time, full-time exempt, or full-time non-exempt.

Wal-Mart does not sell guns for the most part anymore.

I don’t think the work requirements for disability work that way, or are tied to the same legislation.

It would help people who work full-time. People who work hourly already don’t work M-F 8-5 most of the time.

A 4 day work week wouldn’t change anything for people working an hourly wage.

This is talking about redefining ‘full-time’ at a legislative level from being 36 hours to something less.

I stop being able to separate the art from the artist when they start using their platform to push their views. Which is what he did. If you are famous and you never mention your ideology then more power to you but when you go on a tirade during an interview about something else you lose that separation.

I mean, there are only two other companies with which to do that here so there’s a 1/3 chance it’s Tmo to begin with. But yeah, I’m still not sure what they would have to do with the credit card charges for Trump Mobile, as opposed to Mint, Tmo owns Mint.

This is exactly what they want by killing FEMA; The people who voted for this want local groups, churches, and even local governments who already know the local out groups to be able to pick and choose who gets help. FEMA comes in and doesn’t ’prioritize’ the ‘right’ people.

I am glad it hasn’t been hard for you. Pretty much everybody I know has moved to other states because of how bad the jobs are here. I would if I could afford it.

I wish I still had your optimism and naivety. Last time this happened to me I was let go for “not fitting in with the culture” (the aforementioned culture of working all day), which is a completely legal reason in my state. I was denied unemployment despite being able to prove that I had been told to work all night. 10 years earlier I was let go for the same reason after refusing to participate in prayer during a meeting.

There is no protection for employees in the manner you are speaking of, at least not here.

I think maybe you don’t understand the difference between exempt and non-exempt employees here in the US. The law absolutely backs employers up on this unfortunately. Especially if, like me, you live in an at-will state.
