  • The only thing keeping TSLA’s stock price so high is the perception that it’s a tech company. They’d have to replace Elon with another tech CEO that can spew bullshit about tech advances being right around the corner. That probably will not save it as a car company.

I’d rather see the company fail before Elon and other majority share holders can cash out.

  • I’m surprised the Twitter investors would approve this. Their worthless Twitter stock is now worthless xAI stock. How does that help them?

I guess they’ll try to take xAI public with a massively overpriced IPO.

  • Yeah, if this was a Ukrainian or her kids were grown, I would understand. But, she has young kids who need her and probably can’t even begin to understand the situation in Ukraine.

If this were my spouse, I’d divorce and begin looking for another mother for the kids. I don’t know any mothers or fathers that would leave young children for a foreign war.

  • This guy is in a vulnerable district:

With a Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI) rating of EVEN, the district is the least Republican of the congressional districts in Nebraska.[Wikipedia]

Republicans don’t say things like this without permission from the Party. He gets to say this to protect his seat. He’ll likely still vote in lock-step with Republicans unless they get a bigger majority.

  • Sus. Don’t trust random people on the internet.

There’s an old internet adage from the early days: “Don’t trust you can’t punch in the face.”

This isn’t paranoid. It’s basic safety. Talking about personal stuff to people you don’t know irl is inherently risky.

If you’re in need of a confidant, find someone you know in real life who’s trust you can verify or a professional.

  • Yep. And he was kind of a hanger-on with the elite and famous but was mostly rejected by them. A lot of his shitty behavior probably stems from being rejected and being bad at business to the point that he went to the Russians for loans and got compromised.

  • I’d like to see organization focused instances. Like a local government that runs an instance and moderates it. NGOs, clubs, sport leagues, etc. could do it.

It might become a nightmare of overlapping content, hierarchies and responsibilities, though.
