The problem with direct air capture is that it only is good if it exclusively uses renewables, and right now it would be much better to instead use that energy to replace fossil fuels. Only excess renewable energy should be used for it, maybe in places like Scotland that have too much wind power. Capture directly from the source is also better as the concentration of carbon is much higher in the output from a smokestack, and as such has more impact and is more energy efficient too
The thing is, there is some merit to the idea that some of these jobs will be threatened by AI, but not quite in the ways people seem to be obsessed with, which is being fully replaced. This is just like any other advance in software, with better tools being created that allow fewer people to do the same amount of work. There are certain parts that truly cannot be done yet, and you still need to have someone that knows how it is supposed to work using the AI not just a manager.
I'm also starting strattera but haven't had a lot of this. What dosage are you taking? I started on a low dose and am now ramping up to 40mg. If you are on a higher dose it might be why you have all the bad things, lowering it may help.
Also I question the accuracy of this data anyways, according to the article it's only a sample size of a little over 7k people. Also anecdotally as a current college student I have not had any exclusionary behavior towards me as an android user, and know that some of my friends also use Android but tbh it just doesn't come up in conversation either.
I think the problem is more that they don't want to have to do those things on every single wheel, the microchips make identification easier. Also worth noting that many things can be physically and/or chemically identical but still have different value due to the way it was produced, some things that come to mind are power and hydrogen. They can both be produced in many ways, with some in more environmentally friendly ways than others, and the consumer may care about that.
To be fair the majority of those things are still produced abroad, particularly Vietnam has a lot of semiconductor manufacturing, and biden dumping money into domestic production is specifically to try and fix the problem of outsourcing
These things have been around for a few years on the college campus in my hometown, it's not that new and they do work fairly well. Might be that it was a testing ground though
Sounds like the tiny room and lack of adequate ventilation is to blame there much more than the printer. Inkjet may not be much better, huffing printer ink can't be good for you either.
It's a bit more convenient than the Gboard text faces like I did with the first one, and although there are less in the app than the keyboard ones they are better on average.

Yeah, while I agree with most of the reasons for not using brave in the article, I think the best reason is because it's chromium based and Google/chrome id doing the dumb WEI thing and hoped it would be more centered on that.
Yeah it's not perfect out of the box but after turning off telemetry and adding some add-ons like ublock origin and such it's one of the best short of going full on tor/mullvad. And still less fanaticism than brave lol
The answer seems to be sometimes. There's a way to natively do it on Android or with an extension on Mac or Linux, there may be an extension for windows too tho.
From what I understood the ones that made the initial discovery weren't initially trying to make room temperature superconductors and just kinda stumbled upon it and also might not fully understand either how superconductors work or how to test for it, and all tried to rush the paper out.
The only proof of superconductivity is from simulations done by Berkely National Labs, but only when the copper atom is in a higher energy than normal position in the crystal lattice, making changes of it doing so in the current production technique small. For this reason I'm still holding out hope that it's just the synthesis process that needs refining, or if it really isn't a room temp superconductor, will at least lead to a proper room temp superconductor in the near future
