  • In theory it should be mostly fine to touch, idk much about it either unfortunately. it might be a good idea to put some sort of spray on sealer if you will be touching it regularly and are concerned about it at all.

It is definitely dangerous to sand or cut with a saw or something, definitely want to do that outside with gloves and a respirator because then you're getting loose fibers both on you and airborne.

  • Unless I'm reading it wrong thats exactly what they did, hire a third party, external agency to conduct an investigation. If the complaint is that it's biased because they paid them, then idk what else you wanted them to do. I could understand not fully trusting them still, that's your opinion and choice, but criticizing them for conducting a voluntary third party investigation is a little silly

  • While 55 gal drums are the standard physical barrel, barrels as used for oil are their own unit, and oil is rarely in actual physical barrels anymore anyways. It's weird, but it's how the oil industry measures it.

  • Assuming you could feasibly bike, it would probably still be environmentally better to use the bike, mostly because it is more energy efficient at moving a single human places because it doesn't have to move a whole car frame, and in most places a fair amount of power is still from fossil fuels, so less would be needed. Also the other benefits of biking.

  • A little less yeah, considering that there has been an increase in renewables for grid power, also it's much more efficient burn oil/natgas/etc. in a big powerplant than in an ICE car, so less is needed overall.

So yes. It does help. But electric trains are still better lol And we need more renewable grid power

  • I personally use DarkReader, it's not foss afaik but works well and is decent about userdata from what I've seen. There are likely better options out there tho that I just haven't found

Turns out it actually is FOSS and it's pretty good!
