  • Hard disagree. I don't understand why anyone would want case insensitive.

Am I the only one who doesn't go around mindlessly capitalizing letters? Do people find it too difficult to capitalize things?

Do you want case insensitive passwords too?

If I type X I mean X and only X. Uppercase letters are different letters, just like X and Y are different letters.

  • People go through that all the time. It's normal. What matters is your learning. It sounds like you did learn.

Also, maybe they don't care about the text? Some people care some people don't. But probably better for it to be an email / note. Not a big deal either way. Just learn and don't ruminate on it. Everyone goes through it.

  • I was pretty unhappy with his leadership of Proton since its inception. Barely any work on basic features like email or calendar, constant need to rewrite the whole thing because they had some horrible backend architecture, then prioritizing crypto wallets nobody asked for and shoving more AI into places we don't care about.

I already canceled my paid plan and switched, and it honestly feels like a breath of fresh air. Things fucking work beautifully well compared to Proton's garbage UX.

  • Andy Yen is a right-wing Libertarian that have no idea what he's talking about.

That's enough for me to leave. Add on to the fact that Proton has been severely mismanaged since its inception. He'd rather prioritize crypto wallets and shoving AI into email than getting basic shit working.

  • This is great! Although I just switched from ProtonMail to Posteo since I've been pretty unhappy with how the company is being directed, and the CEO's recent support for Trump on Twitter was the last straw.
