New Vegas itself is like the biggest city-state in that slice of the country so its actually the one place in Fallout that suits being an e-girl bad bitch protagonist.
The fediverse is a bunch of websites that talk to each other with the same protocol. If you've been banned from one, you can still talk on all the others. If you are banned on your home instance I am pretty sure you can still post on all the others.
I'll cop to not having read the article and I'll say I might, but I can think of some pretty good ones. It's so children and teenagers can tell people when something bad is happening to them. Like being in a child marriage. Or being abused. Or being shot at in school. Or when their community is being preyed upon. Or when they're in a cult. Or when they're kidnapped and they have a phone. Or when they need to advocate for themselves against policy that chiefly affects them. Or when they're afraid something is happening to their friends. Or when they're suicidal. Or when they're lost. I could probably come up with a hundred of these. The thing is that children and teens are half-finished people and we afford people certain rights. So we need to decide if we'd rather treat kids as human or as another group of pawns to control. I loathe this debate.
I know some folk agree with the feddit.uk admins approach of pushback through discussion and voting, but this instance is not designed to be that kind of space. Blahaj lemmy is meant to be a place where we can avoid the rampant transphobia universally visible on nearly every other social media platform, and where we can exist without needing to debate our right to do so.

I'm honestly not sure what this refers to in recent memory unless you're talking about the initial battlefield victories, executing Hussein, killing Bin Laden, or dropping MOAB to make ourselves feel better. We fled Afghanistan with our tails between our leg, left a power vacuum in our wake and the people to be ruled by their theocrats. It was godawful and we lost stupendously more than we gained at least in the public sector. Nice agitprop though I guess.

Here ya go. I got into a game with a soundtrack by an infamous breakbeat producer called Sewerslvt and what I took away from reading about her career is that her oeuvre hinges a lot on suicidality, loss, and shock. This track is called Jvnko Loves You and references one of the most brutal, graphic stories of murder I've ever come across and... it makes me want to live because the victim in question didn't get to, which I think is what the artist was going for.
More generally, the music of Death Grips helped me internalize that spite can be a vile humor that pushes us to live and that hate, rage, and nihilism are core parts of our humanity that hurt as much to deny as they do to embrace. Many of their songs are about how hard it is to choose to live and many of their lyrics have stuck with me. Beware - an audio formatted raison d'etre. On GP - a screed about choosing to live for others. Come Up and Get Me - Self explanatory.
These are angry and/or intense songs and thoughts that I hope won't be triggering for you, please don't listen if they are. I know you DID say anger wasn't your cup of tea, sorry. Its not ecstasy, but I'm in a somewhat similar boat of coming off of being a daily weed smoker during one of the worst times I can imagine for ANYONE to kick ANYTHING, whether it's opiates or gummy bears. My sympathies. I'd like to also add a couple of more beautiful, serene tracks, to counterbalance the bleak tracks above.
