Two-horse chariot races (bigae) were held in the Campus Martius, the area of Rome named for Mars, after which the right-hand horse of the winning team was transfixed by a spear, then sacrificed. The horse's head (caput) and tail (cauda) were cut off and used separately in the two subsequent parts of the ceremonies: two neighborhoods staged a fight for the right to display the head, and the freshly bloodied cauda was carried to the Regia for sprinkling the sacred hearth of Rome.

Don't forget Trump has only ever won once - in 2016 - and even then he lost the popular vote by 3 million. Every single major race since then - the 2018 midterms, the 2020 presidential election, the 2022 midterms - he or his endorsed candidates either outright lost or failed to live up to expectations. Don't get me wrong, I'm as anxious as anybody else and I'll believe it when I see it, but if I were to place a bet I'd bet he's going to lose yet again.

Perhaps you moved from Europe to the States in the interim like I did.

Edit to add: sorry if this came off as snarky, was not my intention. Just wanted to point out that it's not always so clear-cut. I created my Reddit account in 2008 when I lived in the Netherlands. Then I moved to the US in 2016 and became a citizen in 2019.

Navalny most certainly wasn't stupid. He understood what he was getting into when he got on that flight back to Russia. My guess is that he hoped his arrest and detention would spark an uprising, which sadly didn't materialize.

Good. They stole this man's life. The evidence that exonerated him was available to the people involved with his protection 30 years ago. Insane that it took this long.

Usually it is? But ultimately it's still your own responsibility. You did not pay the dev, the dev does not ask you to pay them, ergo the dev owes you diddly squad.

I disagree, in neither scenario the open source dev owes him anything. You get to use and modify the software for free, but the flip side is you are entitled to nothing.
