  • Yep, actual Fairy liquid for dishes. If you're old enough to remember it was advertised as being gentle enough to not wreck your hands, but she's used harsher dish detergent on her skin & hair in her youth with no bother.

  • If your skin is happy, you don't need to change what you are doing with it.

Sheetmasks and similar can be relaxing and make one feel more engaged with general self-care, so if you enjoyed that it could be good to do more often.

In my 40s with good skin, and just wash it with a good bar soap when in the shower, then a splash of rosewater whilst it is still damp, followed by moisturiser with SPF50.

My mother is in her 70s and has perfect skin - she just washes it with whatever kind of soap, including dish soap if that is what is to hand. In recent years she sometimes complains that it is getting dry - she sort of knows that moisturiser should help and even has some which would be suitable for her, but the whole idea is just too alien to her to actually get it on her face more than once every few weeks.

  • For me it was moving kinda slowly, but spent a bit of time this afternoon blocking communities devoted to subjects which actively disinterest me but which are very popular. This created a lot of space for material to show up quickly from a much wider array of subjects.

No doubt the time will come when that won't be enough, for now it suits me.

  • Phew, but alarming.

Would imagine that restoration projects need a lot of workers. Hiring & training people local to these areas should help ensure that these projects retain enough support that the law is not only not torn down, but amended to include many more areas.

  • If right-leaning, but not bigoted, there is a lot of space within the Democrats for that, and always has been.

Which is less than ideal, as the GOP remains populated by a mix of extremists & the grossly inattentive, Democrats yanked well to the right of centre, and the left utterly stymied.

But, the point remains that if someone is turning a blind eye to the harm being waged against their fellow Americans in favour of some nebulous lean (which the GOP's consistently do not bother to address anyhow), then arguably they are far worse than a bigot, who at least one can consider to be haplessly hate-filled, rather than blithely lending support to the hate-filled.
