  • There's no way they see it as a threat.

So why they are expending dev time to partially integrate with activepub? What they earn? Cause this would not make them a dime, not in short term, and even less in long term.

  • Ahmm, lemmy.world is already federated with mastodon as well, fediverse is one network of federated instances, it is not one for mastodon and another for lemmy. You can interact with mastodon post already from here

  • Not the OP but I have a similar graphics on steam. Using X11 with KDE I was using a GTX 1660 super until november last year, this year I'm using a 6700xt both worked perfectly without any tinkering. KDE Wayland tho has a lot of issues with Nvidia (devs say that is the opposite, the Nvidia driver is shit). But apparently gnome implemented workarounds for Nvidia and their Wayland support is better.

  • This lunduke recently posted the same shit against Mozilla, and sadly a lot of ppl here in lemmy are buying their crap and started bashing Mozilla for everything, at least in the posts I saw recently. I think ppl still believe that free software should be made from free labor.

  • You still can access your terminal from other sessions using ctrl+alt+f1, f1 to f7, you should check cause usually session 1 and 7 are used by the desktop managers , but the others are free to login

  • Because everyone knows better how to do open source, and these ppl are usually right ideally, but when you apply some concepts you can starve to death. Much of what mozilla does are not ideal, but are very good, and the only option of things we need today, not in 20-30 years.
