I FEEL THIS. My bank tells me its not possible to turn it off on my checking account. Blows my fucking mind they can't just deny a tranaction if I don't have the money even if I ask 😭

Fr, you can disagree with someone and still make use of the software they create. Especially because you're not even directly supporting them monetarily.

Joking about those things does not make him any better or worse, it's comedy. Ending that behavior is not an opportunity to be better.

I think that's obtuse, comedy has no limits: As long as you don't act upon uncomfortable / morally reprehensible ideas you joke about, you aren't any worse or better than if you had never joked about it. I would argue that exposing a bunch of people for what they joke about with no evidence that they've actually done something wrong is far worse than joking about offensive subjects. (one has zero negative affects, the other has many)

TBF I don't think a system of thousands of referendums would be much better. What I take bigger issue with is the electoral college, but I don't have a good solution in mind. Popular vote wouldn't be much better, especially because of how it would affect campaigning.
