There exist a bunch of libraries designed for kotlin using its extension methods and properties system to produce the same, like this one : https://github.com/vsirotin/si-units

Thought the same, plus you have the massive .NET Ecosystem.

Second hand Galaxy Tab S Tablets are amazing, especially the Tab S4 and newer. They have amazing high resolution OLED Screens.

I think its great for everyone in terms of longevity, not just pros.

Imagine using a browser without adblocking capabilties on mobile.

I'd say its more like the gas tank telling you that you aren't allowed to pour in brake fluid as that could lead to runtime errors.

I really believe Android and iOS or any OS that runs on mostly battery powered devices should have a "Allow App to run in Background" permission!

Typescript. I greatly prefer C-Style curly brace languages over Pythonese langs. Also the typesystem is incredible, as it allows you to be as precise or not as you want which is a huge boon.

Wow, as a small App developer this seems like a really unnecessary and arbitrary roadblock! I personally am 100% cool with smaller Apps having bugs and whatnot - it happens! As long as no sensitive information is involved.

Also from my experience (this could be down to my specific App though) most issues after publishing came up with phones running a specific vendor Android skins that behave differently than stock, something thats on Google to fix or prevent!

I right now have 215GB and pay 0$. I boght a used LG V10 and HTC One M9 and they had some kind of promotion that gave you 100GB of free space for a year. Its been well over a year now and I still have it.

I'd be curious if you can still sideload the Playstore and Play Services. I have a Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Honor V8, both on their chinese firmware and its a matter of downloading the Play Framework, Play Services, Google Account Service and the Playstore itsself as an APK to get a working playstore.

I agree - I also really enjoy the polished look of modern chinese UIs, certainly more than whatever Google is trying with Material U.

This is in my opinion one of the great achievments of Android, the fact that manufacturers can change so many aspects of a phones UI. Not like with Windows Laptops for example where each and every one looks and behaves the same.

Over 10 years, lol.
