Steve Witkoff, Trump's envoy, is the one who brokered the ceasefire deal. He imposed a meeting to Netanyahu in the middle of Shabbat and told him the peace deal was going to happen, no way around it. Biden had over a year to do this and refused to apply meaningful pressure on Israel.

We heard about people getting disappeared in China for criticizing the party. Now people are being disappeared in the US because they speak up against Israel committing a genocide.

Nobody's forcing Ukraine to sign a peace deal, they can keep fighting if they want.

There is no nonsense and no goalpost moving. Virtually no country wants Ukraine to join right now. The best you can find is prospects of joining NATO, or pathways for a future in NATO. If there is a vote for Ukraine to join NATO tomorrow, most countries would vote no. If there is a vote right after the potential ceasefire currently being discussed, most countries would still vote no.

The scenario just has nothing to do with the current situation in Ukraine. Of course Ukraine has the right to defend itself, nobody is saying otherwise.

Ukraine today consider Crimea, and the Eastern regions belongs to Ukraine. No country wants Ukraine, as defined in the previous sentence, to join NATO.

None of these statements actually back a Ukrainian bid to join NATO today.

Of course the United States cares about Mexico. New Mexico’s GDP is about 15 times higher than Crimea’s.
