I think there's a difference between state-owned and state-funded.

Its not FOSS but if you need a work alterative to GIMP I use Photopea a lot. Works as a PWA too.

I've been using design software for over 25 years; Photoshop has been there for the majority but I've often tried coming back to GIMP here and there, but it's never grabbed me in a useable way.

I've been using cal.com for a while and it's pretty good. I think you can self host it too.

The difference is countries that vote for parties vs voting for an individual. I don't know why anyone would think one person would have the best interests of the country at heart.

I hadn't watched any Trek in a while and in Picard there was a scene where their ship was hit and started listing like a boat and I was like "that's not how space works!", then remembered that's the thing with Star Trek.

If they do another generation leap they should just copy Scotty's TNG appearance with O'Brien, shot for shot.

Huh, I actually had to look at the At a Glance but to see what you were talking about. I've just taken it as a given that I can't use the top 1/3 of the screen or the bottom strip.

I degoogled to Proton mail initially. I didn't like that I couldn't search my emails (a security thing or something? But annoying) and then their Drive was absolutely useless on macos. I had about 100gb and it couldn't sync even half of it.

After much help from support I eventually moved away to a combo of Fastmail, Mega and OnlyOffice.

Same with Australia. Seems a bit disingenuous to say it's banned, it's a government worker policy.
