  • I have been in therapy for 10 years. Long road but I needed to take it this way to learn to be okay with myself and begin to trust others. I started going mainly because of a very bad temper and tendency to pick fights.

The first four years I spent talking about nothing in particular and gradually opening up to my therapist. Only kept going because I still felt like something was wrong.

Today I am much better, but it isn't magic. It's real work. I have struggled through it for a decade now and don't think I could have gotten here had I not stuck with it.

  • In one test, models learned of a fictional executive’s affair and pending decision to shut them down. With few programmed options, the AI models were boxed into a binary choice — either act ethically, or resort to blackmail to preserve their goals. Anthropic emphasized that this does not reflect likely real-world behavior, but rather extreme, stress-test conditions designed to probe model boundaries. Still, the numbers are striking. Claude Opus 4 opted for blackmail in 96% of runs. Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro followed closely at 95%. OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 blackmailed 80% of the time, and DeepSeek’s R1 landed at 79%.

Ladies and gentlemen the future of blackmail is here

  • Oh man I was the guy that said "Just go to cons" above but I see what you're saying. Genuine connections take time.

One way I have really had some luck is just messaging friends I haven't talked to in a while to check in on them. Most don't reply but sometimes one does. One guy I messaged after not seeing him in 20 years and now we hang out every other week.

Maybe there is no winning strategy, just gotta be persistent.

An edgelord used to be a wannabe cool guy, now it's someone that's really good at masturbating without finishing.

Getting hit in the balls (probably) makes your stomach hurt because your balls have to descend from your abdomen in-utero
