  • How about single party socialism? Has that ever turned back into stateless communism, comrade? Or did it turn into "socialism with Chinese characteristics", Putin's Russia, Pol Pot, and the DPRK that Trump wants to turn the US into?

  • The US has purportedly been a technocracy for a few decades now. The second election of Trump will likely mark the end of the technocracy and the official start of something worse....kakistocracy, full blown oligarchy, kleptocracy, pick whatever word you want.

The administrative state -- the exact thing Elon and his doge goons are targeting -- is the home of the technocrats.

  • I dunno I just see highly motivated consumers that want to kick the tires and light the fires on these bad boys before signing on the dotted line. It's similar to how those patriotic tourists toured the capital on January 6th, 2021.

  • I mean just watching him talk about the "Gulf of America" provides enough proof to me that you're right. He spent the entire time talking about how beautiful the name was or whatever. He doesn't have a greater purpose in mind. He's a criminal nutjob handed the keys to the presidency at the most dangerous time to do that in the history of the republic. For all of this bullshit about the land of the free, it certainly doesn't seem like anyone's free to criticize his lunatical actions as the obvious chin dribble they are either.

  • Honestly, at this point, people can deny it all they want but climate change isn't something that "might happen" it's already happening and will continue to happen because we're doing our damnedest to make sure it does. I'm in socal and the climate here is already markedly different from what it was ten years ago.

  • Ironically enough, the only people I know who seem to be happy with the economy are the ones who were cheering for the “I did that” stickers and asking “why is eggs so expensive” under Biden but noticeably silent on those topics once Trump became president.

AKA the people that have TDS.

  • After seeing the "innovations" Tesla has (e.g. doors that don't open in emergencies, weirdo dashboards, subscription "features" for your car, etc.) I think I'm all good on "innovation" in my car purchases. But you do you.

  • In the US basically every new EV is more expensive than a similar gas car. It's a shitty EV market. Teslas specifically were much more expensive than a regular car in 2020. Then there's the problem of having to charge it. Which you either have to live in moneybags areas to have the public infrastructure, or you have to have a house (moneybags territory) with probably a charging station (also moneybags). So yeah, I fully stand behind my original statement.

  • After the bad experience with startup, tech company car brands that caused you to short sell your Tesla, your long-term plan is to get a different startup, tech company car?

    🤦‍♂️
